Stephen Ridings RP | NYM
Mets' Stephen Ridings: Moves across town
Ridings (shoulder) was claimed off waivers by the Mets on Tuesday.
Ridings made his big-league debut for the Yankees in 2021, throwing five innings of relief. He battled shoulder issues for most of the 2022 season, throwing just a pair of rehab innings. If he gets healthy over the winter, he could push for a low-leverage relief role next spring.

Hobie Harris RP | BOS
Nationals' Hobie Harris: Inks deal with Washington
Harris signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Monday, which includes an invitation to spring training, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Harris spent the 2022 campaign in the Brewers' organization pitching for Triple-A Nashville, posting a strong 2.04 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with a 56:28 K:BB across 53 innings. He'll look to improve upon his walks issued in 2023 and certainly has the potential to contribute out of the Nationals' bullpen if he can piece together an impressive spring camp.

Jesse Chavez RP | ATL
Braves' Jesse Chavez: Returns to Atlanta
Chavez re-signed with Atlanta on a minor-league deal Saturday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Chavez pitched for three teams in 2022, one of which was Atlanta. All told, he threw 69.1 innings -- nearly exclusively out of the bullpen -- in the majors while maintaining a 3.76 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. While his deal is a minor-league contract, Chavez should have a decent opportunity to earn a spot in the bullpen during spring training.

Nick Anderson RP | ATH
Braves' Nick Anderson: Inks deal with Atlanta
Anderson signed a one-year, $875,000 deal with the Braves on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Anderson last played in the majors for Tampa Bay in 2021, recording a 4.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over just six innings of work. He spent all of last season in Triple-A Durham with a 5.63 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through 16 innings. He will likely have to fight for a spot in the Braves' bullpen or be sent down to Triple-A again, at which point the value of his contract drops to $180,000.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Likely to miss 2023 season
Treinen underwent surgery on his right shoulder labrum and rotator cuff Friday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Treinen fought through multiple shoulder injuries in 2022 and underwent surgery in order to manage the lingering pain. The Dodgers didn't provide an immediate timetable for his return, but considering the rehab process typically takes around 10 months for this surgery, it is reasonable to think Treinen will miss the entire 2023 campaign.

Peter Solomon RP | ARI
Pirates' Peter Solomon: Dumped from 40-man roster
Solomon cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.
Solomon was claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh in early September but won't stick on the 40-man roster through the offseason. He spent the entire 2022 campaign at the Triple-A level and had a 5.58 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 98:54 K:BB across 109.2 innings.

Robert Suarez RP | ATL
Padres' Robert Suarez: Back with San Diego
Suarez agreed to a five-year, $46 million contract with the Padres on Thursday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
The right-hander recently declined his $5 million player option for 2023 to become a free agent, but he quickly reached a new deal with the Friars. Suarez, once he recovered from a knee injury, pitched well in the late innings for San Diego last year and had a 2.27 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 61:21 K:BB across 47.2 innings, and he should fill a high-leverage role again in 2023.
-
Francisco Perez RP | ATH
Nationals' Francisco Perez: Sent to Triple-A
Perez cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Perez appeared in 10 major-league games for Washington last season and spent the second half of the year with Rochester. He had a 4.82 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 61:32 K:BB across 46.2 innings at Triple-A and won't retain his spot on the 40-man roster through the offseason.

Michael Tonkin RP | MIN
Braves' Michael Tonkin: Joins MLB roster
Tonkin was added to Atlanta's major-league roster Thursday.
The right-hander joined Atlanta on a minor-league contract for 2022 and will now enter the offseason on the big-league roster. Tonkin spent the campaign at Triple-A Gwinnett and had a 3.17 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 73:15 K:BB over 48.1 innings. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2017 with Minnesota.
