Sewald walked one and struck out none in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 8-6 win over Rockies.

Sewald took his first blown save of the season Wednesday versus the Rangers, and he didn't pitch for three days after that. He bounced back well Sunday, throwing 11 of 16 pitches for strikes to pick up his 10th save in 11 chances this year. Aside from Wednesday, Sewald has mostly taken care of business when closing, but his struggles have been more prevalent when in non-save situations. He's at a 4.41 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB across 16.1 innings this season, and he's allowed three home runs.

Holmes (3-1) earned the win against the Red Sox on Sunday, allowing five hits and one walk while generating four strikeouts over six innings.

Holmes was efficient, throwing 58 of 87 pitches for strikes and earning his fourth quality start of the year. It marked the second time in nine outings the 30-year-old walked only one batter, and he's now yielded three earned runs or fewer eight times. He'll carry a 3.80 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 38:22 K:BB across 47.1 innings into a home matchup against the Nationals next weekend.

Pallante (4-4) allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over 6.2 innings to take the loss versus the Royals on Sunday.

Pallante put forth a good performance, throwing 71 of 99 pitches for strikes in his longest outing of the campaign. This was his best effort in a loss all season, and it's the second time in nine starts he's avoided issuing a walk. Overall, the 27-year-old is at a 4.04 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 40:19 K:BB through 49 innings. He has alternated wins and losses over his last seven games, and he'll look to get back in the win column on the road versus the Reds in his next projected outing.

The Dodgers transferred Graterol (shoulder/back) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The right-hander is working his way back from right shoulder surgery -- which he underwent in November of 2024 -- but the Dodgers pulled him off his rehab assignment Friday due to a back issue. It's unclear exactly how much this will affect Graterol's return timeline, but it seems likely to push his absence into June.

The Padres optioned Jacob to Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Jacob was called up by San Diego on Friday and will return to El Paso after giving up two runs without recording an out in Saturday's contest. Sunday's starting pitcher Lucas Giolito was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

The Cubs moved Harvey (triceps) from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Harvey landed on the injured list with right triceps inflammation April 12. He began a throwing program in late April and had progressed to throwing off a mound, but he was then diagnosed with a stress reaction in the triceps. He isn't expected to resume throwing until at least early June, so the transfer to the 60-day IL doesn't affect his return timeline.

The Cubs optioned Assad to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday.

Assad has been working out of the bullpen for Chicago and appeared in three games so far in May, allowing just one run with a 3:1 K:BB over seven innings. Despite his recent effectiveness, he'll head to Iowa in favor of a fresh arm. Ty Blach had his contract selected from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Lovelady will serve as the Nationals' opening pitcher in Sunday's game against the Orioles, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Lovelady hasn't recorded more than six outs in any of his 17 appearances this season, so he'll handle a limited workload ahead of expected bulk reliever Miles Mikolas. Since the Nationals acquired him from the Mets on April 16, Lovelady has emerged as one of the club's more trusted bullpen arms. He's gathered two saves and three holds with an 0.82 ERA over 11 appearances with Washington, but a bloated 19.2 percent walk rate and 95.2 percent strand rate suggest that he's benefited from plenty of good fortune.

The Reds optioned Mey to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Mey was called up by Cincinnati in late April and made six appearances in the big leagues, giving up five earned runs with a 14:7 K:BB across 8.1 innings. He'll return to Triple-A for now but could return to the big leagues when the Reds need bullpen depth.

Miller allowed two runs on two walks and struck out one over two-thirds of an inning in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Miller got the nod for a high-leverage spot in relief of starter Trevor McDonald in the seventh inning. He did fine there, but he struggled when staying on to begin the eighth. He walked two batters, and Caleb Kilian allowed both of them to score on a Brent Rooker homer. Miller was activated from the IL on Saturday, as he missed a minimal amount of time due to a back strain and now appears set to compete for late-inning work with Kilian in the near term. Over 13 appearances this season, Miller has a 4.50 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB across 12 innings.
