The White Sox placed Brazoban on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left lat strain, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Brazoban owns a 3.16 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 62.2 innings this season, but he's allowed seven earned runs in just 10 innings since being traded to the White Sox and will now be sidelined until at least Sept. 9. Jonathan Cannon was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Helsley (elbow) threw a bullpen session over the weekend, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

Helsley threw 15 pitches in his first mound session since landing on the injured list in early July with elbow inflammation. He's slated to throw a few more bullpen sessions within the next couple of weeks before progressing to facing hitters and/or rehab games, but the 32-year-old reliever is still hopeful to pitch for the Orioles again before the season is over.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said Wednesday that Garcia (shoulder) threw two bullpen sessions last week at the team's facility in Arizona, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Garcia has had a drawn-out recovery process from left rotator cuff inflammation, as the injury has kept him on the shelf since April 23. After months of little to no progress, Garcia finally seems to have turned a corner and could resume throwing live batting practice at some point this week. The Rangers remain hopeful that Garcia will be able to rejoin the big-league bullpen at some point in September.

The Athletics claimed Roycroft off waivers from the Rays on Tuesday.

Roycroft has been bludgeoned for 23 runs with an 18:12 K:BB over 24.2 innings across 18 relief appearances between the Cardinals and Rays this season. The big righty has minor-league options remaining and appears headed to Triple-A Las Vegas for the time being.

The Yankees selected Topa's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Topa will get a look with the big club after logging a 1.80 ERA and 2:1 K:BB over five innings during his time with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The righty reliever held an 8.05 ERA and 12:11 K:BB across 19 frames earlier this season with the Twins.

The Blue Jays recalled Dallas from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

It's already Dallas' fifth promotion to the big leagues this season, though each stint has lasted less than a week so far. The right-hander has made three appearances for Toronto and given up seven earned runs with a 6:6 K:BB over 7.2 innings.

Morris picked up the save Monday against the Athletics, retiring the lone batter he faced.

After Yoendrys Gomez was tagged for four runs without finishing the ninth inning, Morris was called upon to record the final out and did so to secure his fourth save. It marked the 24-year-old's first save since July 12, as Gomez has settled in as the primary closer for the Twins. On the year, Morris owns a 3.41 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 56:22 K:BB across 60.2 innings.

Smith gave up one run on one hit while striking out one batter over one inning to earn a save against the Angels on Monday.

Smith entered in the ninth frame with Cleveland up by three runs. He hit the first batter he faced with a pitch, and then gave up a one-out single followed by a sacrifice fly to surrender a run. However, Smith was able to get Christian Moore to fly out to end the contest. It was the second straight outing during which Smith has allowed a run, but he's been able to record a save in both instances. The right-hander moved into sole possession of second place in MLB with 34 saves, and he's supported that mark with a 2.44 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 82:20 K:BB over 59 innings spanning 56 appearances this season.

Holderman (wrist) struck out three batters and allowed two hits and two walks over two scoreless innings between his last two relief appearances Friday in Colorado and Monday in Anaheim.

Holderman was lifted early during a Aug. 15 relief outing versus Padres due to right wrist inflammation, but he was available to pitch a few days later. He looked particularly sharp in Monday's 4-2 win over the Angels, collecting his 11th hold of the season while striking out three of the four batters he faced. The right-hander owns a 2.29 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 49 strikeouts and one save over 51 innings this season.

The Rangers announced Aug. 12 that Garcia (shoulder) is expected to resume throwing off a mound soon, MLB.com reports.

Nearly two weeks have passed since that update, but it's unclear whether Garcia has been able to take the next step in his throwing progression by getting back on a mound. Garcia has had an uncommonly slow recovery from an injury that the Rangers have labeled as left rotator cuff inflammation. He's been on the shelf since April 23 and has had to pause his throwing program on multiple occasions after experiencing continued discomfort while playing catch.
