The Royals recalled Cuas from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

Cuas will absorb the roster and bullpen spot vacated by Matt Strahm, who was designated for assignment. The right-hander has pitched well during his brief time in the majors this season, allowing two runs with a 9:2 K:BB over 6.1 innings.

The White Six activated Gilbert (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

The left-hander has been on the shelf since June 10 due to a shoulder impingement but has gained full clearance after a three-appearance rehab assignment. Gilbert surrendered seven runs across those three rehab outings with Charlotte and will remain with the affiliate now that he's healthy.

The White Sox optioned Schweitzer to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

The rookie left-hander is losing his place on the major-league roster to make room for Chicago's trade acquisitions. Schweitzer figures to get another look in the big leagues later this season given that he's posted a 2.78 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in his first 11 appearances, though his 11:9 K:BB is less encouraging.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that De Los Santos has been recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

He will grab the roster spot vacated by Angel Chivilli. De Los Santos has allowed five runs (one earned) with a 7:4 K:BB over 8.2 innings covering five appearances out of the Yankees' bullpen this season. He'll be used in middle relief.

Little walked one and stuck out four over 1.1 scoreless, no-hit innings Monday to record his first hold of the season in a win over the Astros.

Mason Fluharty, the Blue Jays' top left-handed reliever, had worked the previous two days, so Little got a rare high-leverage opportunity and rose to the challenge. Over five appearances since returning to the big-league bullpen after the All-Star break, Little has a 2.45 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB over just 7.1 innings, so he could be earning a more prominent spot in a setup crew that just saw Jeff Hoffman traded to the Twins, and which looks increasingly unlikely to get Yimi Garcia (elbow/neck/biceps) back in 2026.

Seymour (8-3) earned the win Monday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks over six innings against the Rockies. He struck out nine.

Pitching at hitter-friendly Coors Field, Seymour was able to limit the damage while recording his second-highest strikeout total of the season. The Rays have used the southpaw both as a starter and bulk reliever since inserting him into the rotation in early June. Overall, Seymour owns a 4.27 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 99:28 K:BB across 84.1 innings (37 appearances, eight starts) and is tentatively scheduled to pitch Sunday against the Mariners.

Rogers picked up the save Monday against the Astros. He did not record a strikeout over a perfect inning.

With Louis Varland presumably unavailable, Rogers was called upon to pitch the ninth inning and retired the side in order to pick up his third save. The soft-tossing right-hander has been impressively reliable as a setup man this year, posting a 1.62 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB while recording 23 holds across 50 innings.

Quantrill (4-4) allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over six innings in a loss to San Francisco on Monday.

Quantrill was hurt by two errors behind him in the second inning, allowing the Giants to scored a pair of unearned runs. The only other time San Francisco scored against him was when Jung Hoo Lee swatted a solo homer in the third. Quantrill retired 11 of the 13 batters he faced following that homer, but Texas' offense couldn't provide enough runs to take the righty off the hook. Despite the loss, Quantrill recorded his second quality start of the campaign (though it's worth nothing that he didn't move into the rotation until late June). He's produced a respectable 3.31 ERA over 35.1 frames since then, with all but one of his eight appearances coming as a starter. It remains to be seen, though, if Quantrill will remain in the rotation when Jordan Montgomery (elbow), Cody Bradford (elbow) and/or Jack Leiter (ankle) return from the injured list.

The Yankees optioned Chivilli to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Monday's 13-7 loss to the Cardinals.

New York will presumably call up another reliever from Triple-A to replace Chivilli, who was rocked for six earned runs on five hits and one walk while working an inning out of the bullpen Monday. The 24-year-old righty now owns a 3.78 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB in 16.2 innings in the big leagues this season.

The Athletics acquired Johnson from the Phillies on Monday in exchange for outfielder Colby Thomas.

Johnson has yet to find much success in the majors, putting up a 7.18 ERA and 37:21 K:BB over 31.1 frames covering parts of three seasons. However, he's a hard thrower who holds a 2.17 ERA and 40:11 K:BB across 29 frames this season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Johnson might get a chance to pitch high-leverage innings as part of a patchwork Athletics bullpen.
