Latz (2-0) notched the win Monday against the Brewers, allowing three hits and one walk in 5.2 shutout innings. He struck out four.

It was was perhaps Latz's finest effort as a starter so far this season, as it was his first scoreless start of the year. The left-hander has gone at least five innings in four of his six starts in 2025, and he's in line to remain in the rotation with Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) sidelined for the remainder of the regular season. Latz has a 2.91 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 66:32 K:BB across a career-high 74.1 frames. He's next slated for a tall task on the road against the Mets this weekend.

Wantz (elbow) threw a scoreless inning and struck out one during Saturday's game against Triple-A Gwinnett.

Wantz was officially activated from the 60-day injured list Sept. 1 after recovering from right elbow surgery. He's looked sharp in three appearances since his return to Triple-A, firing three scoreless frames while registering two strikeouts and one walk.

Martinez (undisclosed) was released by Baltimore on Sept. 4.

Martinez appeared in 16 games at Triple-A Norfolk this season, recording a 4.96 ERA and 1.99 WHIP with 21 strikeouts across 16.1 innings. He missed a good chunk of the season while on the mend from an undisclosed injury and hadn't yet returned from a rehab assignment before being handed his release.

Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Ort (elbow) could return from the 15-day injured list at some point during the postseason in a "best-case scenario," Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Ort was placed on the IL on Friday due to right elbow inflammation, and Brown noted that the 33-year-old will be shut down from throwing for another 12-to-14 days before being re-evaluated prior to the final week of the regular season, per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle. Though Ort doesn't look like he has a chance at making it back from the IL for Astros' season-ending road trip, he shouldn't require an extensive ramp-up period once he resumes throwing and could be available for the playoffs. Ort has mostly been used in middle relief this season, logging a 4.89 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 49:27 K:BB across 46 innings while nabbing two wins, one save and three holds in 49 appearances.

Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Sousa (elbow) could return from the 15-day injured list at some point during the postseason in a "best-case scenario," Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Sousa hasn't resumed throwing since being placed on the injured list Aug. 22 due to a low-grade elbow flexor strain and doesn't appear to have a chance at returning before the end of the regular season. The 30-year-old will likely need to start throwing at some point in late September to put himself in consideration for a spot on the Astros' postseason roster. Before getting hurt, Sousa submitted a 2.84 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 59:15 K:BB in 50.2 innings while collecting five wins, four saves and eight holds over his 44 appearances.

Topa was removed from his relief appearance in Sunday's 5-1 win over Kansas City in the ninth inning due to left knee discomfort, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports. "I had the doctor look at it and he said that structurally, everything looks good," said Topa.

Topa was in line for a save chance but exited with two outs in the ninth with the Twins holding a four-run lead, paving the way for Genesis Cabrera to record the game's final out. While Topa said that his knee is fine, he may need a few days off for any soreness to subside. Topa previously missed most of the 2024 season due to patellar tendinitis and a small tear in the patellar tendon in his left knee.

Armstrong picked up the save Sunday against Houston, striking out one over 1.1 perfect innings.

Armstrong has now pitched more than one inning in three of his last four saves. The 34-year-old hasn't yielded a hit or a walk in three consecutive outings, a streak that spans 3.2 innings. He owns a 2.40 ERA, seven saves and a 64:18 K:BB across 63.2 innings this season.

Bednar allowed a hit in a scoreless inning and earned a save against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Bednar worked around a one-out single by Nathan Lukes to close out the 4-3 victory. It was Bednar's fifth save since joining the Yankees and 22nd of the year in 25 chances. He's allowed one run over his last 7.1 innings, dropping his season ERA to 2.47 through 54.2 frames. Bednar earned saves Saturday and Sunday, and he's pitched in three of the last four games. The Yankees are off Monday before starting a three-game home series against Detroit on Tuesday.

Chapman struck out four in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Chapman allowed pinch hitter Ildemaro Vargas to reach on a wild pitch, which enabled the Boston closer to pull off a four-strikeout inning. Despite the small mistake, he's now pitched 14.2 consecutive scoreless innings over his last 17 appearances, posting a 21:4 K:BB and 12 saves in that span. He's up to 29 saves this season, putting him one away from reaching 30 for the first time since 2021. He's added a stellar 0.98 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and 81:14 K:BB through 55 innings this season.

Jansen pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Athletics.

Jansen has rebounded well after a rough patch in the middle of August that saw him allow four runs over five innings while going 1-2 with one save from Aug. 12-22. Since then, he's pitched five straight hitless innings with a 2:2 K:BB and earned three saves. He's up to 26-for-27 on save chances this year while maintaining a 2.83 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 50:18 K:BB through 54 innings.
