Zach Putnam RP | BOS
Red Sox's Zach Putnam: Injures hammy
Putnam slipped during a drill Thursday and is dealing with hamstring soreness, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Putnam had been scheduled to pitch Friday but was removed from the team's travel roster as a precaution. The non-roster invitee is not expected to earn a roster spot.

Ryan Brasier RP | TEX
Red Sox's Ryan Brasier: Reports no issue after throwing
Brasier played catch Friday for the first time since recovering from a toe infection, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Brasier threw from 90 feet and reported no issues following the session. It's unclear if he'll remain on a throwing program or progress to pitching off a mound. He and Matt Barnes are considered the leaders for the open closer role.

Shelby Miller RP | CHC
Rangers' Shelby Miller: Makes spring debut
Miller allowed two runs on two hits and one walk over one inning in Friday's game against the White Sox.
Miller was the last of the Rangers' three Tommy John survivors to debut this spring. At this stage, results aren't as important as getting in the work and feeling good afterwards. "I felt strong," the 28-year-old right-hander told Dave Sessions of MLB.com. "I felt like I threw all my pitches, which is a positive. I was in the zone a lot, which was good. The location was pretty good. The only one I kind of missed was on the triple, I kind of yanked it back over the middle, but other than that I was pretty pleased with the outcome." According to Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News, Miller's fastball started at 90 mph and elevated to 93 during the outing. Fourteen of his 19 pitches found the strike zone. He joins Drew Smyly and Edinson Volquez as projected rotation members coming back from elbow surgery.

Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Set to start Monday
McHugh (back) is scheduled to start one of the Astros' split-squad games Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
McHugh exited Wednesday's start against the Nationals due to back soreness, but he and manager AJ Hinch downplayed the injury afterward. Hinch reiterated that notion Friday, indicating that he fully anticipates the 31-year-old will take the mound.

Daniel Hudson RP | LAD
Angels' Daniel Hudson: Will pitch Sunday
Hudson (forearm) will start Sunday's spring game against the Athletics, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hudson will serve as the opener for the Angels in his second appearance of the spring after finishing the 2018 season on the injured list with right forearm tightness. The veteran right-hander is a non-roster invitee and is looking to secure a spot in the Angels' bullpen.

Ryan Borucki RP | SF
Blue Jays' Ryan Borucki: Roughed up by Phillies
Borucki allowed five runs on four hits and three walks over two innings while striking out one in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
The left-hander picked a bad time to have a bad outing, as the addition of Clay Buchholz on Thursday gives Borucki some significant competition for the Jays' fifth starter role. Buchholz still needs to prove he can stay healthy, of course, and Borucki has time to win the job outright with better performances, but his fantasy value -- already limited by his lack of strikeouts and a tough pitching environment in the AL East -- looks even shakier than it did the day before.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Rays' Ryan Yarbrough: Won't be out long
Yarbrough will only miss a couple of days due to his tight left groin, Rays broadcaster Neil Solondz reports.
The injury forced Yarbrough to end his appearance Thursday against the Twins early, but the move was described as precautionary and the left-hander is considered day-to-day. Manager Kevin Cash confirmed his status Friday, so it seems as though Yarbrough's preparation for the upcoming season shouldn't be significantly affected.

Matt Moore RP | BOS
Tigers' Matt Moore: Improves to 2-0 this spring
Moore grabbed the win in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Braves, allowing two runs on three hits in 2.1 innings of work. He didn't walk anyone and struck out three.
Moore has now tossed 4.1 innings this spring across two starts, picking up a win in each outing and striking out four. The lefty endured a disastrous 2018 with Texas, posting a 6.79 ERA and 1.66 WHIP over 102 innings, but without a ton of other great options in Detroit's rotation, Moore could lock himself in if he finds some success early in the season.
