The Orioles optioned Nunez to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Nunez pitched well in his most recent stint in the big-league bullpen, allowing one run with a 9:3 K:BB over 5.1 innings. His roster spot is being filled by Cade Povich, who will make a spot start Monday versus the Rockies.

Triple-A St. Paul placed Rojas on its 7-day injured list Aug. 22 due to a right oblique strain, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

While the 23-year-old lefty profiled as a potential candidate to join the Twins when the active roster expands to 28 men Tuesday, the oblique injury may take a potential promotion off the table for a bit. Before being optioned back to Triple-A earlier in August, Rojas compiled a 3.34 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 34:22 K:BB in 29.2 innings over 12 appearances (four starts) for Minnesota.

The Yankees claimed Schreiber off waivers from the Royals on Monday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

The Royals had placed Schreiber on outright waivers this past weekend, and now they will receive a bit of salary relief as the Yankees pay the reliever what remains of his $3.715 million salary for 2026. Schreiber has made 55 relief appearances this season, collecting a 3.65 ERA and 36:22 K:BB over 49.1 innings. The 32-year-old will likely be used in middle relief with the Yankees and is an impending free agent.

The White Sox optioned Gilbert to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Gilbert was up for a few days as the roster replacement for Tyler Schweitzer (paternity), but he'll head back to Charlotte now that the latter has been reinstated. The left-handed Gilbert made one appearance during his most recent stint in the majors, allowing one run on five hits over 2.1 innings Sunday in Minnesota.

The White Sox activated Schweitzer from the paternity leave list Monday.

Schweitzer missed the weekend series in Minnesota while welcoming a new baby to the family. The lefty reliever will be available in the bullpen for the start of a four-game set in Houston on Monday.

The Red Sox optioned Burgos to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

Burgos was up as the 27th man on the roster for Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees. He was knocked around for five runs over 2.1 innings in the second game of the twin bill and will now rejoin the bullpen at Worcester.

Garcia (shoulder) is set to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock, MLB.com reports.

Garcia recently came out of a live session feeling well and is ready for the next step. The report didn't specify a date for when the assignment will begin, but it did indicate the Rangers want to see him throw multiple innings and pitch on back-to-back days.

Baumler (intercostal) will begin a rehab assignment for Triple-A Round Rock this week, MLB.com reports.

Baumler has been given the green light to head to Round Rock after he recently resumed facing live hitters at the Rangers' spring facility in Arizona. The Rangers want to see Baumler make appearances on consecutive days and throw multiple innings during his time in the minors before bringing him back from the 60-day injured list. The rookie Rule 5 Draft pick has been on the shelf since April 5 due to a right intercostal strain.

Latz struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the Brewers to secure his 27th save of the season.

Latz was summoned with a three-run lead and retired Milwaukee in order on 12 pitches (seven strikes). The left-hander has now recorded a save in six of his last seven appearances while tossing nine scoreless innings during that stretch. Latz is enjoying a career year for Texas, sporting a 1.65 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 66:15 K:BB across 60 innings.

Urquidy did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Twins, allowing one run on three hits while striking out one over five innings of relief.

Urquidy inherited a 4-0 deficit in the fourth inning after Jordan Hicks and Tyler Gilbert handled the first three frames. He went on to finish out the contest while Luke Keaschall tagged him for his only run on a solo homer in the seventh. Across one start and three relief appearances since being recalled Aug. 14, Urquidy has allowed nine runs over 17.2 innings with a 14:4 K:BB. With Davis Martin back in the rotation, Chicago no longer requires both Urquidy and Erick Fedde in the mix, leaving Urquidy's role somewhat uncertain moving forward.
