Hogan Harris RP | ATH
Athletics' Hogan Harris: Earns first save
Harris earned a save with a perfect inning against Minnesota on Tuesday.
Harris retired the Twins' 6-7-8 hitters in order to close out the 6-3 win after Justin Sterner threw two scoreless frames out of the bullpen. It was Harris' first save chance of the year, and he's now thrown 6.2 shutout innings since rejoining the MLB roster Aug. 9. He joined Sean Newcomb as the only Athletics to record saves since Mason Miller was dealt to San Diego. It seems most likely that the team will continue using a committee approach for late-inning opportunities.

Will Vest RP | DET
Tigers' Will Vest: Earns sixth win Tuesday
Vest (6-2) tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in Tuesday's 1-0, 10-inning victory over the Astros. He allowed a hit and struck out one.
Vest successfully navigated the top of the ninth and 10th innings, then earned the win when Gleyber Torres ended the game on a walk-off walk. The veteran reliever came into the season with only nine career wins at the MLB level, and his previous high in a season was three. Vest also leads the Tigers with 18 saves, and he's struck out 61 batters across 55 innings this year to go along with a strong 2.45 ERA, giving him plenty of fantasy value across the board.

John Schreiber RP | KC
Royals' John Schreiber: Earns first save
Schreiber issued one walk in a scoreless inning and recorded a save against Texas on Tuesday.
Schreiber entered the game with a 5-2 lead and closed things out despite a two-out walk to Marcus Semien. Schreiber picked up his first save and extended his scoreless streak to 5.1 frames while dropping his season ERA to 3.24. Primary closer Carlos Estevez did not appear in Tuesday's win after pitching Sunday and Monday.

Jonathan Loaisiga RP | ARI
Yankees' Jonathan Loaisiga: Arm issue surfaces
Manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Loaisiga (back) was pulled off his rehab assignment and sent for medical testing after experiencing soreness in his right elbow/triceps, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander has been working his way back from right mid-back tightness and delivered a scoreless frame in his first rehab outing Sunday, but he's now dealing with an arm issue. Loaisiga missed most of the previous two seasons due to injuries and has been inconsistent when available in 2025 with a 4.25 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB over 29.2 innings.

Brent Headrick RP | NYY
Yankees' Brent Headrick: Lands on injured list
The Yankees placed Headrick on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to a left forearm contusion.
It's unclear when Headrick sustained the injury, as he hasn't pitched since last Wednesday against the Twins. The left-hander will be eligible to be reinstated Aug. 31, though it's unclear if he's expected to be healthy by that point.

Sauryn Lao SP | WAS
Mariners' Sauryn Lao: Contract selected
The Mariners selected Lao's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.
Lao was removed from the 40-man roster earlier this season after making one relief appearance, but he's earned his way back on with a 1.37 ERA over his last five outings at Tacoma. The 26-year-old will likely be used in low-leverage spots.

Logan VanWey RP | HOU
Astros' Logan VanWey: Recalled from Triple-A
The Astros recalled VanWey from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
VanWey has a 6.23 ERA and 5:3 K:BB over 8.2 frames during his time with the big club this season. He's absorbing the 26-man active roster spot vacated by Tayler Scott, who was designated for assignment.
