Yarbrough will serve as the primary pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With Andrew Kittredge set to serve as the opener, Yarbrough will follow as Tampa Bay's bulk reliever in the second game of the series. The southpaw is coming off a win in his last appearance, surrendering four runs over 4.1 innings Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Kittredge will serve as the opener for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Kittredge surrendered a run on three hits while fanning one over 2.1 frames in his last appearance as an opener Wednesday against Boston. He'll toss the first inning or two of Tuesday's clash before making way for Ryan Yarbrough.

Hearn's throwing program was shut down due to elbow irritation Monday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Hearn recorded a single big-league out before landing on the injured list with elbow tightness in late April. He resumed throwing in July before the issue popped up again. The renewed irritation reportedly isn't related to his UCL, so Tommy John surgery isn't expected to be required, but he may not have time to build up the arm strength to pitch again this season.

Castro (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Castro has been unavailable due to illness for several days. He ran and threw prior to Monday's game but still may need another day before he's ready for game action.

Diaz was optioned to Double-A New Hampshire on Monday.

Diaz jumped straight from Double-A to the majors on Saturday and looked generally unprepared in his first big-league appearance, allowing two runs and walking four batters while recording just two outs Sunday against the Orioles. Brock Stewart was recalled in a corresponding move.

Stewart was called up by the Blue Jays on Monday.

Stewart was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers in late July and will get another shot at the big leagues right away. The 27-year-old was formerly a fairly interesting prospect with the Dodgers but hasn't gotten much going in parts of four big-league season, recording a 5.46 ERA while striking out just 18.5 percent of opposing batters. He appears to be up as a reliever for now, with Yennsy Diaz optioned in a corresponding move, but he was mostly a starter in the minors this season and could get opportunities in the rotation down the stretch.

Jimenez was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

Jimenez had only just been sent down on Sunday but is back with the team after Jordan Zimmermann (neck) landed on the injured list. Jimenez has allowed six runs in seven innings of work for the Tigers this season.

Scott was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Scott has thrown his first 9.2 career major-league innings this season, split between Seattle and Baltimore. He's allowed 15 runs (13 earned) while posting a poor 8:7 K:BB.

Pruitt was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Pruitt has thrown 20.2 innings for the Rays this season over seven relief appearances, recording an unimpressive 5.66 ERA and a low 18.2 percent strikeout rate. Yonny Chirinos (finger) landed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Maton was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Nick Camino of WKYC Channel 3 Cleveland reports.

Maton was sent to the minors to free up a roster spot for Monday's starter, Aaron Civale, who was summoned from Triple-A in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old reliever has yet to debut for the Indians since being acquired from San Diego in mid-July.
