Paredes (2-2) allowed a hit and two walks with one strikeouts over two-thirds of an inning in a win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Paredes wasn't particularly sharp in the appearance, but he was able to earn the win when Yuli Gurriel's sacrifice fly gave the Astros the lead in the top of the seventh. The 24-year-old Paredes has pitched to a 3.45 ERA with a 1.66 WHIP and 17 strikeouts through 15.2 innings this season. He's also recorded five holds.

King retired both hitters he faced in relief during Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jays, striking out one in his nine-pitch appearance.

King's prior three appearances had come as a starter, with the Yankees expanding their rotation due to a slew of doubleheaders. The Yankees downsized their rotation to five this week, and since Deivi Garcia was called up from the alternate site to start Wednesday's series finale, he'll seemingly stick in the rotation over King for now.

The Yankees recalled Garcia from their alternate site ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday against the Blue Jays in Buffalo.

Outfielder Estevan Florial was sent down to the alternate site to clear room for Garcia, who will be making his third start in pinstripes. After limiting the Mets to one run over six innings in his MLB debut Aug. 30, Garcia endured some turbulence in his second outing Sept. 4 in Baltimore, giving up four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 4.2 innings. He'll head to another tough road venue Wednesday in Buffalo's Sahlen Field, which has proven to be one of the majors' friendlier hitting environments this season.

Misiewicz (0-2) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Giants. He allowed one run on one hit while fanning two in one inning.

Misiewicz pitched the seventh inning and allowed the game-winning run on a solo shot from Darin Ruf. Misiewicz has been a reliable late-inning option for Seattle with six holds, but he has allowed runs in three of his last seven appearances -- he owns a 3.86 ERA while fanning 10.3 K/9 in that seven-game span.

Pressly allowed one hit and struck out one over a scoreless ninth inning to record his eighth save in a 5-4 win over the Athletics in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Pressly, who had missed out on save chances in both games of Saturday's doubleheader because he was unavailable, was fresh in his first outing since last Friday. After a shaky start as the closer, Pressly is 7-of-8 in save chances with a 1.64 ERA and 17 strikeouts over his last 11 appearances.

Barlow allowed one run on two hits with two strikeouts and zero walks during the ninth inning to record the save Tuesday at Cleveland.

The 28-year-old gave up a pair of one-out singles and was unable to keep the Indians off the board, but he was still able to notch the save since the Royals supplied him with a multi-run cushion. Barlow has two saves and three holds with a 2.86 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB through 22 innings this season and should continue operating in a high-leverage role.

Junis gave up five runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and zero walks over 4.1 innings during Tuesday's win over the Indians. He didn't qualify for the decision.

The right-hander served up homers in each of the first three frames, matching his total for home runs allowed in his previous four starts. Junis has a 5.57 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 21 innings and should next face the Pirates on Sunday.

Hendriks earned the save in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Astros by allowing one hit and recording two strikeouts in a scoreless seventh inning.

The veteran right-hander surrendered a one-out single to Aledmys Diaz but otherwise made quick work of Houston, delivering 10 of his 13 pitches for strikes. Hendriks has converted 11 of 12 saves chances with a 1.47 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 27:3 K:BB through 18.1 innings this season.

Yarbrough (0-3) took the loss Tuesday at Washington after giving up four runs on six hits with one walk and one strikeout across 2.2 innings.

The left-hander also hit a pair of batters as he needed 70 pitches to record only eight outs in his return from left groin soreness. Yarbrough has a 4.31 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB over 39.2 innings and lines up for another start against the Nationals next Tuesday.

Barnes (1-3) blew the save and took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies, giving up two runs on two hits and a walk over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out two.

After the Red Sox took a 5-4 lead in the sixth inning, Barnes came out for the bottom of the seventh and immediately walked J.T. Realmuto on four pitches, setting the stage for an eventual walkoff single by rookie Alec Bohm. When Boston had another late lead to protect in the nightcap, it was Marcus Walden who got the call in the seventh instead. Barnes is 4-for-6 in converting save chances since taking over as closer, and his 5.40 ERA and 23:11 K:BB through 16.2 innings on the season don't inspire a lot of confidence.
