Lopez started Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Seattle, allowing one run on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 4.2 innings. He did not factor into the decision.

Typically, Lopez pitches between four and five innings -- he had done that in all six of his starts this season. He ran into trouble the second time through the order Tuesday, however, surrendering a Kyle Seager home run in the fourth and allowing two baserunners in the fifth before being removed. Until manager Brandon Hyde trusts him to go deeper into games, it will be difficult for Lopez to hold value.

Staumont (1-1) was charged with the loss Tuesday against Cleveland after allowing three runs on two hits and a walk. He recorded two outs, both via strikeout.

Staumont got the final out of the seventh inning before working into a messy eighth. With a 3-3 tied ballgame, the right-hander struck out Jose Ramirez before walking Franmil Reyes. He then gave up an RBI double to Harold Ramirez and an RBI single to Josh Naylor, handing Cleveland the lead for good. Staumont has managed the bulk of Kansas City's saves recently, including three in a row last month, so his early-game appearance was slightly surprising.

Rogers was credited with a blown save Tuesday against the Rangers. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits while striking out one across 1.1 innings.

Rogers entered the game with four outs left to close the game out but failed to accomplish that goal, as he struck out Joey Gallo to end the eighth but later surrendered two runs in the top of the ninth. This was Rogers' second blown save of the season, and he's now 2-for-4 in save chances. He's also allowed two earned runs in each of his past two appearances.

Pivetta (4-0) allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight across five innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Tigers.

Pivetta allowed four hits and two earned runs in the second inning, accounting for most of the damage against him. However, he was solid otherwise, racking up eight strikeouts on 18 called strikes and 10 swinging strikes across 100 total pitches against one of the weakest lineups in the league. He owns a 3.23 ERA with a 33:19 K:BB across 30.2 innings so far this season. Pivetta is projected to take his next turn through the rotation Sunday at Baltimore.

Barnes threw 1.2 innings without allowing a baserunner and struck out one to earn the save Tuesday against Detroit.

Barnes entered the game with the bases loaded and one out in the eighth inning. He quickly escaped that jam, inducing a double play after just two pitches. Barnes then made quick work of the Tigers in the final frame to earn his seventh save of the season. He's been excellent for the vast majority of the campaign, maintaining a 2.25 ERA and 26:3 K:BB across 16 innings.

Rodriguez (1-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Twins after pitching a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.

Rodriguez pitched the bottom of the ninth shortly after the Rangers rallied from a 1-3 deficit in the top of the same inning, and he looked dominant. The 29-year-old left-hander tossed 10 of his 12 pitches. He's now posted six straight scoreless appearances (six innings) with an 8:1 K:BB in that span.

Fulmer (0-2) allowed four runs (two earned) across just 0.2 innings and took the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox. He gave up four hits and a walk with no strikeouts.

The Tigers were likely expecting a short start from Fulmer, but this qualifies as a disappointment, as the righty couldn't even escape the first inning, making it his briefest appearance of the season. Fulmer's 4.57 ERA is an improvement from the 8.78 mark he recorded last year, but his inability to work deep into games limits his fantasy appeal. He's scheduled to take the mound again next Tuesday against the Royals in search of better results.

McHugh (back) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 33-year-old spent the past few weeks on the shelf with a lower-back strain but will rejoin the active roster Tuesday. McHugh surrendered six runs through his first 5.1 innings of the season before the injury, and he'll attempt to get on track now that he's healthy.

Tapia was optioned to the Mariners' alternate training site Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Tapia gave up four hits in two innings over two appearances, but he did not allow a run. He should continue to serve as organizational bullpen depth.
