Graveman worked around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Friday, striking out three batters and picking up a save against Texas.

Graveman allowed a one-out double to David Dahl but struck out the other three Rangers that came to the plate. He's now converted all four of his save chances and has yet to give up a run through 14.1 innings this season.

Loaisiga (3-2) allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits and no walks while striking out one in one-third of an inning to take the loss against the Nationals on Friday.

Loaisiga hadn't allowed more than one run in any of his first 14 relief appearances this year, but he was hit hard in the eighth inning Friday and was charged with his second loss of the season. The right-hander has now posted a 2.89 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 18.2 innings in 2021.

Hendriks allowed two hits and struck out two batters over a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save over Kansas City on Friday.

Hendriks coughed up a leadoff double to Salvador Perez and eventually found himself in a bases-loaded jam with two outs. He forced Nicky Lopez to fly out and earned his sixth save in eight chances on the year. The 32-year-old righty lowered his season ERA to 3.55 over 12.2 frames.

Lowther will start Saturday's game against the Red Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Lowther made his major-league debut April 25, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless relief inning. The southpaw will now make his first big-league start at home against the Red Sox.

Clase (2-2) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and failed to record an out Friday, taking the loss versus Cincinnati.

He committed a throwing error that led to Cincinnati's first run, and his balk led to a second run. Mike Moustakas added an RBI single before Phil Maton relieved Clase and finished the inning. The 23-year-old hadn't given up an earned run in 14.1 innings entering Friday, but he had allowed three unearned runs. Clase now has a 1.26 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB in 16 outings. He's gone 6-for-7 on save chances and is unlikely to lose his spot at the top of Cleveland's closer pecking order after one bad outing.

Yarbrough was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Friday due to side effects from the vaccine, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Yarbrough tentatively lines up to make his next start Tuesday, and he'll be eligible to return from the injured list as soon as his side effects subside. Kevan Smith was called up to serve as catching depth after Francisco Mejia (ribs) was scratched from Friday's lineup.

Fleming (2-3) was credited with his second victory in a win over the Angels on Thursday, allowing three earned runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out three.

Fleming got his 15 outs on a relatively efficient 67 pitches, with his one big mistake coming in the form of a Shohei Ohtani two-run home run that he allowed in his first inning on the hill. The versatile southpaw has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any one outing, and Thursday's performance leaves his ERA and WHIP at a solid 2.81 and 1.13, respectively.

Mayers (1-2) was charged with a loss and a blown save as a result of giving up four runs on four hits over one-third of an inning against Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Mayers' first outing since returning from a brief stay on the COVID-19 list wasn't pretty, as he gave up a solo home run to Mike Zunino in the seventh inning and was charged with three more runs in the eighth after yielding a hit to each of the three batters he faced. The right-hander has been utilized in high-leverage situations throughout the campaign, and that doesn't figure to change in spite of the fact that Thursday's rough outing pushed his ERA all the way up to 4.91 through 15 appearances.

Green (0-3) took the loss and suffered a blown save against the Astros on Thursday as a result of allowing three runs on two hits and a walk. His only out came by way of strikeout.

Green entered the contest with a shiny 1.02 ERA through 14 appearances, but that number shot all the way up to 2.50 after the rough outing. The big blow was a three-run home run off the bat of Jose Altuve that pushed Houston into a two-run lead. Green has an overall 19:3 K:BB across 18 innings this season, so he should remain a trusted part of New York's bullpen.

Farmer was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Friday.

Farmer had been with the team since Opening Day but struggled through 12 relief appearances. He owns a 12.66 ERA and 2.25 WHIP through 10.2 innings, walking 16.1 percent of opposing batters while striking out just 17.9 percent. As a 30-year-old with a career 5.47 ERA, there's seemingly a good chance he passes through waivers and remains a part of the Tigers' organization.
