Pearson will likely start Sunday's game against the Astros, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Pearson dealt with a groin injury to begin the regular season but pitched for Triple-A Buffalo to begin the minor-league campaign. In his first start for the team, he allowed one run on four hits while striking out eight in 3.2 innings. Left-hander Anthony Kay should be available out of the bullpen with Pearson starting Sunday. However, it's not yet clear whether Pearson will remain in the major-league rotation after Sunday's start.

Lowther was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk ahead of his scheduled start Saturday against the Red Sox.

Lowther's promotion to the majors was expected after the left-hander was named the starter for Saturday's matchup against Boston. Lowther allowed one hit and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless relief inning during his major-league debut.

Swanson will start Saturday's game against the Rangers, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Swanson served as an opener Monday, and the Mariners hope to get two or three innings out of him Saturday before bringing in a bulk reliever. In his first two outings of the season, Swanson has allowed no hits and a walk while striking out four in four innings.

Yarbrough (illness) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Saturday, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

Yarbrough was dealing with vaccine side effects Friday, but he'll return to the active roster just one day later. The southpaw tentatively lines up to start at home against the Yankees on Tuesday, and he should be able to make his next start.

Law's contract was selected by the Twins on Saturday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Law failed to break camp with the major-league club this year, but he'll join Minnesota's bullpen as part of a shuffle after right-hander Cody Stashak was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul and Travis Blankenhorn was designated for assignment. Law allowed three hits and three walks while striking out 13 in eight scoreless innings this spring.

Jimenez was recalled by the Tigers on Saturday.

Jimenez was sent to the Tigers' alternate training site in late April but will now return to the major-league bullpen after right-hander Erasmo Ramirez (chest) was placed on the injured list. Jimenez gave up five runs on no hits and seven walks while striking out two in one inning across two relief appearances to begin the year.

Texas manager Chris Woodward said it's likely Yang will head back to the bullpen with Kohei Arihara (finger) ready to start Saturday, Sam Blum of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Yang was effective as a fill-in starter Wednesday, and it wasn't clear what role he would serve until Arihara had a successful bullpen session Thursday. He will resume a multi-inning relief role and will be an in-house candidate for spot starts. Yang totaled 8.2 innings in two outings as a reliever prior to his fill-in start.

Paredes (side) will make his second rehab appearance Saturday for Double-A Corpus Christi, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Paredes threw an inning in his first rehab outing Wednesday and is scheduled to throw one-plus Saturday. Manager Dusty Baker said the reliever will throw two innings in few days before being activated off the 10-day injured list.

Diekman (2-0) earned the win against Tampa Bay on Friday, striking out both batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Diekman entered the contest with one out in the top of the ninth inning and the score tied 1-1. He made quick work of Brandon Lowe and Yandy Diaz, needing nine pitches to retire both batters. The southpaw was then credited with the win after Seth Brown hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the frame. Diekman has been impressive over 14 innings this season, registering a 1.93 ERA and 20:5 K:BB along with three saves and three holds.

Manaea completed 7.1 innings against Tampa Bay on Friday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10. He did not factor in the decision.

For six innings, Manaea looked like he could be in for a special night, as the southpaw retired 18 straight Rays batters. The potential perfect game came to an end on a leadoff walk in the seventh inning, but Manaea still entered the eighth with a no-hitter intact. Tampa Bay quickly struck for a run on a double and a single, however, and Manaea soon exited the game with no chance for a win. Despite the disappointing ending, there was plenty to like about the veteran hurler's performance; among other highlights, he struck out a season-high 10 batters and notched his fourth quality start of the campaign. Manaea has now given up one or fewer runs in four of his seven starts, leading to a steady 3.07 ERA. His next start will likely take place in Boston on Thursday.
