Garcia (0-2) took the loss Saturday at Detroit and was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barres after the contest. He allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits with three strikeouts and one walk over 4.1 innings.

The 22-year-old was called up ahead of Saturday's contest and will return to Triple-A after a one-day stay in the majors. The right-hander threw 52 of 88 pitches for strikes and was unable to solidify a rotation spot with Corey Kluber (shoulder) sidelined for the foreseeable future. Garcia figures to receive another starting opportunity with the Yankees before too long.

Abreu was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Saturday's game against the Tigers.

Abreu didn't even last a full day on the active roster, as he was called up the morning prior to the game. He did get into a game during his few hours with the team, allowing one run in a 3.2-inning relief appearance.

King will start Sunday against the Tigers, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

The Yankees are down a starter with Corey Kluber shut down for four weeks with a shoulder strain. King relieved Kluber after he got hurt Tuesday against Toronto, allowing one run in three innings. It's unclear if he'll replace Kluber long term, as that honor could also go to Deivi Garcia, who started Saturday against the Tigers but was optioned following the game.

Yarbrough had eight strikeouts and allowed two runs on three hits across 4.1 innings during Saturday's 5-3 win versus Philadelphia. He had two walks and didn't factor in the decision.

The 29-year-old kept the Phillies off the board until Ronald Torreyes' two-RBI double with the bases loaded during the fifth inning, which brought an end to the left-hander's afternoon. Yarbrough has a 4.26 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 47:12 K:BB over 57 innings this season.

Taylor (ankle) is expected to throw two innings in his next rehab outing, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Taylor has tossed one inning in each of his first three rehab appearances, and he's posted a 6.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP during that time. Taylor will apparently build up his innings count during his next outing, but he could return to the major-league bullpen shortly after if things go as planned.

Harvey (oblique) has been performing well during his rehab assignment, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Harvey has felt good after each of his first three rehab appearances, and manager Brandon Hyde said that the right-hander's velocity has been where the team wants it to be. Harvey is eligible to return from the 60-day injured list June 1, and it seems as though he could be back in action in the near future.

Hentges won't pitch Saturday against the Blue Jays since the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Saturday's matchup will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday. Hentges will take the mound in Game 2 while Aaron Civale starts in the matinee.

Abreu was recalled by the Yankees on Saturday.

Abreu has made three relief appearances for the Yankees to begin the season and has allowed one run on no hits and four walks while striking out seven in five innings.

Garcia was recalled by the Yankees ahead of his scheduled start against the Tigers on Saturday.

Garcia spent the last month with the Triple-A club and posted a 5.17 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in 15.2 innings across four starts in the minors. He'll return to the Yankees' active roster and could have a chance to solidify a spot in the starting rotation since Corey Kluber (shoulder) is facing an extended absence. Left-hander Justin Wilson (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list as part of a corresponding move.

Wilson took the loss in relief against the Tigers on Friday, as he allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and no walks in two-thirds of an inning. It's not yet clear whether he'll be forced to spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the injured list, while right-handers Albert Abreu and Deivi Garcia were recalled as part of a corresponding move.
