King (6-5) allowed three runs (two earned) on zero hits and one walk while striking out three over three-plus relief innings to pick up the win over Oakland on Thursday.

King relieved starter Dane Dunning after four innings -- exiting after four or five innings has been the norm for Dunning in 2021 -- and provided bulk relief. For the second consecutive outing, King set down the first nine batters he faced before tiring during a fourth inning of work. A hit batter, a walk and his own throwing error ended the left-hander's night, and all three runners came around to score. King is being stretched out for a possible starting role, but his highest pitch count thus far is 55. The Rangers may instead keep him in a tandem role with Dunning, whose innings are being managed this season.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone recently stated that Peralta (back) is "close to getting over the hump," MLB.com reports.

Peralta has been on the 10-day IL due to a low-back strain since June 26, though the move was deemed retroactive to June 23. Despite Boone's comments, it's not yet known if Peralta will be ready to return to the active roster when first eligible in the next few days.

Manaea (6-5) took the loss Thursday against Texas, allowing four runs on nine hits and a walk over five innings. He had six strikeouts.

Home runs by Nate Lowe and Joey Gallo in the fourth and fifth innings broke things open for the Rangers, who managed to put 10 runners on base against Manaea on the day. It was the third straight loss for the lefty despite a 24:6 KK:BB over 16.1 innings during that stretch. He'll take a 3.13 ERA and 1.24 WHIP into his next scheduled start, projected to come next week in Houston.

Patino is expected to be called up by the Rays to start Friday against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Patino has been pitching well for Triple-A Durham, throwing 17 straight scoreless innings. Between his recent form and the injuries to Tyler Glasnow (elbow) and Josh Fleming (calf), Patino could stick with the big-league club if he carries over his strong performance from the minors. Patino has thrown five innings in each of his last three starts, so he could work long enough to earn a win if he can hold the Blue Jays' offense in check.

Sewald tossed 1.1 scoreless frames to earn the save Thursday against the Blue Jays. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out four.

Sewald entered during the eighth inning after Toronto made it a three-run game. The right-hander sent Vladimir Guerrero down on strikes to finish off the frame. Upon giving up a leadoff single and a walk in the ninth, Sewald whiffed the next three batters to pick up his first save of the year with Kendall Graveman presumably unavailable after pitching 1.2 innings Wednesday. Sewald has been solid in relief this season, collecting five wins to go with a 1.66 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.

Solomon was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Solomon tossed two scoreless innings for the Astros earlier in the season, but he was sent down at the end of April and made nine appearances (six starts) with the Triple-A club. He posted a 6.11 ERA and 1.51 WHIP in 35.1 innings during that time, but he'll now rejoin the big-league bullpen after left-hander Ryan Hartman was sent down Thursday.

Clase was charged with three runs (one earned) on three hits in his relief appearance during Wednesday's 7-1 loss to the Tigers in the second game of a doubleheader.

With Cleveland losing three of its last four games heading into the second game of the twin bill and with the lone victory coming by a big margin, Clase was called upon in a non-save situation in an attempt to stay fresh. The hard-throwing righty wasn't at his best, but he was spared significant damage to his still-sparkling 1.10 ERA after teammate Yu Chang committed an error to lead off the sixth inning. With an 11-for-12 success rate on save chances to go with strong ratios, Clase should continue to remain relevant in the late innings for Cleveland, though he'll occasionally cede saves to co-closer James Karinchak.

Wilson pitched a perfect inning, notching one strikeout Wednesday against the Angels.

Following an extended rain delay, Wilson was brought in to relieve starter Domingo German in the fourth inning. The left-hander made easy work of the three batters he faced, needing only 10 pitches to set the side down in order. Wilson should settle back into the team's bullpen plans moving forward, though he may not receive frequent high-leverage opportunities -- through 16 appearances, he has logged just two holds and one save.

Shaw (2-3) took the loss in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Detroit. He allowed a run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in one inning.

It was a back-and-forth game for four innings before Detroit took control in the fifth. Shaw's loss came on the RBI single he surrendered to Harold Castro. The right-hander had a shaky June, posting a 1-3 record, two blown saves, four holds and a 6.94 ERA across 11.2 innings. He had only given up three runs across 20.2 innings in the first two months of the season. With little chance of unseating James Karinchak or Emmanuel Clase for save chances, Shaw's usefulness in fantasy remains limited.

Borucki (forearm) will throw live batting practice early next week, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Borucki's side session Tuesday apparently went well, as he'll now face hitters for the first time. If he feels good following his throwing session, the southpaw will likely begin a rehab assignment shortly thereafter. He's been on the injured list since May 14, so it's not yet clear how many rehab outings he'll need before being cleared to return.
