Romano gave up two hits and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his league-leading eighth save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Astros.

A leadoff single by Yuli Gurriel put some pressure on Romano, but the Toronto closer answered the challenge. His saves streak now stands at 31, with his last blown opportunity coming more than a year ago, and Romano's 1.13 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB through eight innings to begin 2022 are elite.

Perez allowed a hit and struck out one to earn a hold in Friday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Perez has two holds through six appearances this season. He's covered five innings without allowing a run -- he's only given up four hits with a 6:1 K:BB. The Orioles' bullpen began the season with few defined roles, which has allowed Perez to step up as a high-leverage arm early in the season, a role he'll likely maintain as long as he continues to produce positive results.

Lopez allowed a hit and struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Lopez was able to navigate around a leadoff single to Mike Trout in the ninth inning, with the right-hander converting his third save of the season. He's kept runs off the board in six of his seven appearances this season while emerging as the Orioles' top high-leverage arm. Lopez owns a 2.25 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 11:4 K:BB and a 1-1 record through eight innings.

Zimmermann (1-0) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings, earning the win Friday versus the Angels.

Zimmermann covered five scoreless innings, but he ran out of steam a bit at the end. He exited with no outs in the seventh inning after Anthony Rendon's two-run blast brought the Angels within two runs. The Orioles' bullpen was able to maintain the lead, earning Zimmermann his first win of the season to go with a pair of no-decisions through three starts. He's been very effective with a 1.20 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB across 15 innings, and per the team's PR department, the southpaw's 14-inning scoreless streak to begin the season was the longest by a Baltimore pitcher since Jim Palmer in 1978, which is good company to be keeping. Zimmermann is projected to face the Yankees next week.

Graveman (0-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk while striking out one across 1.1 innings to take the loss Friday against the Twins.

Graveman entered the game in the eighth inning with a 1-0 lead. He retired the first two batters in order before surrendering a ground-rule double to Ryan Jeffers and a walk to Luis Arraez. Both runners came around to score on an error by Jose Abreu, which ultimately saddled Graveman with the loss. After holding opponents scoreless across his first 5.2 innings of the season, Graveman has now surrendered four runs (two earned) across his last two appearances.

Munoz picked up the save during Friday's 4-1 win over the Royals, allowing a hit and a walk with one strikeout in the ninth inning.

With Drew Steckenrider and Diego Castillo struggling of late and Paul Sewald on the Covid-19 IL, manager Scott Servais turned to the 23-year-old Munoz for Friday's save and he delivered. Despite permitting two baserunners, Munoz was never in any real danger and has shown significant strikeout upside with 11 in six innings this season. Despite limited big-league experience -- 23.2 innings over the last three seasons -- Munoz is logging meaningful innings and is a reliever to keep an eye on if he receives more save chances.

Duffey (1-2) earned the victory, striking out two in one perfect inning in a 2-1 win Friday over the White Sox.

Duffey entered the game in the top of the eighth inning with the Twins losing 1-0 and had his best outing of the season. Facing the top of the Chicago lineup, he struck out the first two batters before getting Jose Abreu to ground out. Minnesota scored twice in the bottom half of the inning to put Duffey in line for the win. The 31-year-old got off to a rocky start this season, blowing two saves in his first four appearances, but was called upon late in a close game and was rewarded with the victory when he got the job done.

Pagan earned the save after pitching a scoreless ninth inning in a 2-1 win Friday over the White Sox. He walked two, allowed a hit and struck out one.

Pagan threw 17 of his 34 pitches for strikes and loaded the bases with one out before inducing a pop-out. After running the count full on Jake Burger, he painted the corner for a strikeout to end the game. The righty has recorded a save in consecutive games for the Twins and is the only member of the Minnesota bullpen to close out a ballgame successfully. He appears to be manager Rocco Baldelli's preferred option in save situations but has not officially been named the closer.

Feyereisen will serve as the "starter" in Saturday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays are set for a bullpen game Saturday, as Ryan Yarbrough (groin) will be on a rehab outing while Chris Mazza (back) landed on the injured list Friday. Feyereisen has served as an opener once before this season, and he worked two scoreless innings while striking out three. It's possible he covers multiple frames again Saturday, but he won't pitch deep into the matchup.

Morgan (1-1) allowed two runs on one hit and two walks over three innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Yankees.

Morgan got through 2.2 innings with little resistance from the Yankees. He then issued a two-out walk to DJ LeMahieu followed by a two-run homer off the bat of Aaron Judge. The 25-year-old righty has coughed up four runs over his last four innings of work. Morgan will likely head back to the bullpen with Cal Quantrill expected to return from the COVID-19 injured list Saturday.
