Pruitt fired a perfect eighth inning in a loss to the Mariners on Wednesday, recording a strikeout.

The right-hander got through his perfect frame on just 13 pitches, bouncing back from an ugly appearance Tuesday when he gave up four earned runs on four hits, including three home runs, in just one-third of an inning. Pruitt has given up four runs on two occasions overall in June, but he hasn't been scored upon in the 7.2 innings covering his other six appearances during the month.

Hendriks (forearm) began throwing this week and is recovering well, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

After throwing from 60 feet Monday, Hendriks was quoted as saying, "Everything is exactly where we are expecting it to be. Now the challenge on my behalf tends to convince them that I can come back quicker than they are trying to let me." Hendriks is targeting July 1 for his return from the 15-day injured list. In the meantime, Kendall Graveman and Joe Kelly will mix in for save chances, with Kelly recently tallying the first Chicago save in Hendriks' absence.

Tapia was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Tapia was recalled Tuesday and made one one appearance during his time on the roster, allowing two runs in 2.1 innings of relief Wednesday against the Mariners. He's now given up six earned runs in 3.2 major-league innings this season, which doesn't help his case for a return to the roster. Sam Moll returned from the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move.

Moll (undisclosed) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Thursday.

Moll played catch on the field prior to Thursday's game against the Mariners, and he'll be available out of the bullpen after spending a few days away from the team due to the league's health and safety protocols. The southpaw has been dominant for the Athletics this year, picking up six holds while posting a 1.27 ERA, 29:13 K:BB and 1.27 WHIP in 21.1 innings over 26 relief appearances.

Moll (undisclosed) played catch on the field prior to Thursday's game against the Mariners, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Moll was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday but has been cleared to rejoin the team following a brief period of isolation. While the southpaw hasn't yet been activated, he seems to be close to a return.

Winder (shoulder) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Thursday and optioned to Triple-A St. Paul, Megan Ryan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Winder had been on the shelf since late May while nursing a right shoulder injury, but he's healthy again after completing a three-start rehab assignment at St. Paul. Since the Minnesota rotation is full, Winder will stick around with St. Paul for now, but he should be the first option for a call-up the next time the Twins require another starter. A promotion could come as soon as Tuesday, when the Twins will require a temporary sixth starter for their doubleheader with Cleveland that day.

The Guardians recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Columbus on Thursday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Fellow reliever Anthony Castro was sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding move, paving the way for Ramirez to join the big club for the first time since Cleveland acquired him from Seattle on May 16. Over his nine appearances after reporting to Columbus, Ramirez gave up three earned runs on two hits and eight walks while striking out 11.

Barlow worked a perfect ninth inning Wednesday without a walk or strikeout to record his 13th save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Phillies.

The right-hander continues to be effective, if not dominant, as the Rangers' closer. Barlow is 13-for-15 in converting save chances, and while his 2.96 ERA and 0.99 WHIP through 24.1 innings are impressive, his mediocre 20.4 percent strikeout rate and stingy .200 BABIP highlight how much his success relies on weak contact rather than overpowering raw stuff.

Vespi walked one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's rain-shortened 7-0 win over the Nationals.

The teams played six complete innings, with Vespi protecting a three-run lead in the top of the sixth before the Orioles put together a four-run rally in their half of the frame. The game was later called due to rain, making this a bizarre first career save for Vespi. While it's yet to come to fruition, the 26-year-old southpaw has certainly earned a look in more significant spots with a 0.87 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 8:3 K:BB across 10.1 innings in eight appearances. He'll likely see mid-leverage work at most, as the Orioles' bullpen has been a strength for the team this season.

Holmes earned a save against the Rays on Wednesday, pitching a perfect inning during which he struck out one batter.

Holmes blew his first save of the season in his previous outing, but he bounced back in fine fashion Wednesday, retiring all three batters he faced on 16 pitches to secure a one-run win. The right-hander has been dominant for the Yankees throughout the campaign, posting a 0.53 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 35:4 K:BB over 33.2 innings. Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) will likely return to action soon, but Holmes could continue to see save chances even after the veteran closer rejoins the club.
