Lopez gave up two walks and struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in a 2-1 win over the Rangers on Friday.

Lopez put two men on board in a one-run game but managed to escape the inning to notch his 22nd save of the season with some help from his defense. Brad Miller scorched a 103.8 mph line drive to right field that was caught for the second out of the inning. Right fielder Max Kepler then threw to second base to double off pinch runner Charlie Culberson who misread the play. Lopez now has three saves and two blown saves since coming over to the Twins at the beginning of August and has a 3.86 ERA in seven appearances during that stretch.

Vespi (5-0) allowed a run on three hits in one inning but collected the win Friday over the Red Sox. He did not walk or strike out a batter.

Vespi was promoted to the majors earlier Friday and immediately got into a game. He was awarded the win after Keegan Akin allowed five unearned runs during a sloppy fifth inning. Vespi has been an effective middle reliever this year with a 4.22 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 24:8 K:BB across 21.1 innings while adding a save, a hold and a blown save. With the strength of the Orioles' bullpen, there's little chance Vespi moves into a high-leverage role during this stint on the big-league roster.

Clase allowed one hit in a scoreless inning during Friday's win over the White Sox. He struck out two and picked up a save.

Clase was his usual dominant self Friday, working around a two-out single to slam the door on a 5-2 victory. He's now 28-for-30 in converting save chances and hasn't blown an opportunity since May 9. In 40 appearances since that blown save, Clase has posted a terrific 44:3 K:BB and 0.69 ERA.

Tapia was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Tapia was promoted by Oakland on Aug. 8, and he allowed three runs with a 4:5 K:BB over 6.2 frames during the 10-day stint in the majors. The right-hander has a 7.80 ERA in nine appearances overall this year.

Norris is moving to the Tigers bullpen, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Norris, 29, has a 3.27 ERA in 11 innings as a starter and a 6.28 ERA in 28.2 innings as a reliever, but his -2.0 K-BB% as a starter and 18.9 K-BB% as a reliever are more indicative of what to expect going forward. Eduardo Rodriguez (personal) is joining the rotation Sunday and the Tigers can work with a four-man rotation through the end of the month. Garrett Hill is also moving to the bullpen and Bryan Garcia is a candidate to take the ball the next time the Tigers need a fifth starter.

Mayza (shoulder) will report to Triple-A Buffalo to start a rehab assignment Saturday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Mayza has been sidelined since suffering a dislocated right shoulder Aug. 6, and he'll return to game action exactly two weeks later. The left-hander has a 2.88 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27:5 K:BB across 34.1 innings this year and should be able to rejoin the Blue Jays sometime next week.

Hill is moving to the Tigers bullpen, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

All eight of his MLB appearances have come as a starter, with Hill logging a 4.22 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 21 strikeouts and 18 walks in 42.2 innings. Eduardo Rodriguez (personal) is joining the rotation Sunday and the Tigers can work with a four-man rotation through the end of the month. Daniel Norris is also moving to the bullpen and Bryan Garcia is a candidate to take the ball the next time the Tigers need a fifth starter.

Feyereisen (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Feyereisen has been on the injured list with a shoulder issue since early June but said after Friday's throwing session that his shoulder feels good. The right-hander will presumably require a rehab assignment at some point and hopes to rejoin the Rays around mid-September.

Alexy was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

He made one appearance in the majors this season in mid-July, giving up three earned runs with more walks (three) than strikeouts (two) in two innings against the Mariners. Alexy, who should work in low-leverage situations, has a 6.27 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and an 87:47 K:BB in 84.2 innings at Triple-A.

Barlow was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with a right index finger blister.

He threw a scoreless inning Wednesday after being sidelined for over a month with a blister on the same finger, so don't assume it will be a minimum stay for Barlow. A.J. Alexy was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.
