Hendriks picked up the save in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Guardians, allowing zero runs while striking out one over one-third of an inning.

Hendriks continues his dominance by recording his ninth straight save. The righty has surrendered just one run with 13 strikeouts over 9.1 innings in his last 10 outings. The 33-year-old has allowed more traffic on the bases at home with a 1.23 WHIP in 24.1 innings compared to a 0.80 WHIP in 18.2 innings away from Chicago.

Hernandez (1-0) earned the extra-inning win Saturday over the Twins. He allowed an unearned run on a hit and a walk while striking out one over two innings.

Hernandez was kept in the game for the 10th inning after pitching a scoreless ninth. The right-hander walked Carlos Correa, got two outs, allowed a run to score on an error and then got Jose Miranda to fly out to end the threat. This was Hernandez's first win in 12 appearances this year, and he's maintained a 2.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB through 12 innings. He's functioned as the head of the Rangers' closer committee with Joe Barlow (finger) out -- Hernandez has four saves, all since July 31, and Jose Leclerc is the only other reliever on the team to log a save in that span.

Otto allowed an unearned run on three hits and three walks with one strikeout in 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Saturday.

The lone run against Otto came in the fifth inning on a Luis Arraez single after Jake Cave reached on an error. Otto came up one out short of a quality start. Walks have re-emerged as an issue for the 26-year-old -- he's issued 17 free passes across 27.2 innings through his last five starts. He has a 4.66 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 71:52 K:BB through 94.2 innings across 19 starts overall. The right-hander is projected for a home start versus the Tigers next week.

Soto earned the save against the Angels on Saturday, allowing one walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Soto took the mound with Detroit up by a run in the final frame. He issued a one-out walk to Kurt Suzuki but quickly rebounded by inducing a double play to close out the save. Soto has racked up three saves in the past six days and ranks 10th in the majors with 23 successful conversions on the campaign.

Alexander (3-7) earned the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out two batters over six innings.

Alexander got off to a shaky beginning when he allowed a run in each of the first three frames, but he settled down from there and kept the Angels off the scoreboard for the remainder of the start. The left-hander got by despite inducing only five swinging strikes and fanning only two batters. The victory was his first since July 4 and snapped a string of four straight losses. Despite his recent troubles getting into the win column, Alexander has pitched fairly well of late, posting a 3.60 ERA across 30 innings over his past six appearances.

Garcia pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over the Yankees on Saturday.

Toronto closer Jordan Romano pitched in each of the first two games of the series, so Garcia was given the task of preserving the team's three-run, ninth-inning lead. He threw 17 pitches to retire the side in order and notch his first save of the campaign. Garcia saved 15 games for Miami last season, but Adam Cimber -- who was deployed in the fifth inning Saturday -- has gotten the majority of the closing opportunities when Romano has been unavailable this season.

White allowed one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out five batters over four innings in a no-decision versus the Yankees on Saturday.

The right-hander allowed multiple baserunners in three of his four innings, but he constantly navigated around traffic and yielded only one run. Altogether, White surrendered seven hits, but only one of those went for extra bases. He has now made three starts for Toronto since coming over from the Dodgers at the trade deadline, and he has yet to complete five innings in any of those outings. However, he's been decently effective, posting a 3.38 ERA and 10:4 K:BB across across 13.1 innings. That should be good enough for White to keep a spot in the rotation over Yusei Kikuchi, who was recently demoted to the bullpen.

Smeltzer was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

While Tyler Mahle (shoulder inflammation) is going to the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move, Miller reports that Smeltzer is with the big club to pitch out of the bullpen against the lefty-heavy Rangers. Smeltzer has a 4.02 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 62.2 innings across 12 starts in the majors this season.

Payamps was claimed off waivers by the A's on Saturday.

He was designated for assignment by the Royals a couple days ago, but the A's had a spot for him on the 40-man roster. Payamps should report to the Triple-A bullpen for now. He has a 3.16 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 42.2 innings in the majors this year.

Snider was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

He has a 7.71 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 12:11 K:BB in 21 innings in the majors this year, and Snider had been at Triple-A for the last couple months. He should work in low-leverage situations.
