Alexy was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old was recalled by the Rangers late last week and picked up a win Monday after firing 2.1 scoreless frames against the Twins, but he'll head back to the minors with Dennis Santana (ankle) returning from the injured list. Alexy allowed three runs in two innings during his only other big-league appearance this year.

Santana (ankle) was activated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Santana has been on the shelf with the ankle sprain for the past three weeks, and he'll rejoin the Rangers on Tuesday after a two-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock. The 26-year-old was a reliable high-leverage arm for Texas over the first three months of the season with one save, 12 holds and a 1.53 ERA, but he posted 15.43 ERA in July before landing IL in early August.

De Leon (shoulder) made the second appearance of his rehab assignment Saturday with Single-A Dunedin, striking out two and allowing one run over one inning.

De Leon is finally back in action in the lower levels of the minors after he was shut down in spring training when he suffered a right shoulder injury during a Grapefruit League outing. He'll eventually settle into the bullpen at Triple-A Buffalo once he completes his rehab assignment.

Pearson (lat) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Pearson was sidelined for the start of the season after coming down with mononucleosis, and he suffered a lat strain in late June after starting a rehab assignment in the minors. The 26-year-old resumed mound work earlier in August, and the next step in his rehab will be facing live hitters.

Saucedo (hip) is scheduled to throw a two-inning bullpen session at Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday and could be cleared to resume his rehab assignment soon thereafter, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Saucedo recently had his rehab assignment paused for the second time since he landed on the injured list April 30, this time on account of left shoulder fatigue after he was initially deactivated due to right hip discomfort. At this stage, the shoulder is likely the greater concern for Saucedo, whose performance hasn't suffered at the Triple-A level despite the multiple stops and starts. Over 15 appearances for Buffalo spanning 14.2 innings, Saucedo owns an 0.61 ERA and 20:8 K:BB.

The Royals optioned Snider to Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

Snider's most recent stint in the big leagues lasted just three days, with the right-hander tossing 1.1 scoreless innings over his lone appearance out of the bullpen. Kansas City called up Tuesday's starting pitcher, Jonathan Heasley, from Omaha in a corresponding move.

The Royals recalled Heasley from Triple-A Omaha ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks in Kansas City.

Reliever Collin Snider was moved to Triple-A to clear a spot on the 26-man active roster for Heasley, who is set to make his 14th start of the season for Kansas City after generating a 5.61 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 46:29 over his previous 61 innings in the big leagues. Heasley will be taking over the rotation spot of Brad Keller, who was moved to the bullpen last week.

The White Sox recalled Banks from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Banks joins the big-league roster to replace Michael Kopech (knee). After posting a 3.16 ERA in 42.2 innings across his multiple stints with the White Sox this season, Banks should get some opportunities out of the bullpen going forward.

The Rays designated Herget for assignment Tuesday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

The move comes four days after the Rays selected Herget's contract, as they now need space for JT Chargois (oblique) to return from the injured list. Herget has a 2.45 ERA in 80.2 minor-league innings this season, so he could generate some interest on waivers.

The Rays activated Chargois (oblique) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Chargois strained his oblique in his first appearance of the season and had been on the IL ever since. The righty had a 2.52 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 56 games with Seattle and Tampa Bay last year, so he could play a big role in the Rays' bullpen going forward if he regains that form. He recently wrapped up a 10-appearance rehab assignment that included stops at the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Triple-A Durham.
