Trevor Kelley RP | SEA
Rays' Trevor Kelley: Selected to 40-man roster
The Rays selected Kelley's contract on Thursday.
Kelley inked a minor-league contract with the Rays in January and now has a clearer path to a spot in their Opening Day bullpen. The 30-year-old right-hander posted a 6.08 ERA in 23.2 innings last season with the Brewers, but he had some bad flyball luck and tallied 23 strikeouts along the way.

Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Rays' Andrew Kittredge: Placed on 60-day IL
Kittredge was placed on the 60-day injured list Thursday as he recovers from Tommy John surgery, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Kittredge underwent the reconstructive elbow procedure last June and will miss at least the first half of the 2023 season. This is a paperwork move to get Trevor Kelley on Tampa Bay's 40-man roster.

Davis Daniel RP | CIN
Angels' Davis Daniel: Placed on 60-day IL
Daniel was placed on the 60-day injured list by the Angels on Thursday due to a right shoulder strain, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
This move clears out a 40-man roster spot for left-hander Matt Moore, whose one-year, $7.55 million deal with the Angels is now official. Daniel posted a 4.49 ERA and 83:32 K:BB over 102.1 innings last season at Triple-A Salt Lake and won't be much of a factor in the early part of the 2023 campaign.

Chris Rodriguez RP | CHW
Angels' Chris Rodriguez: Still recovering with shoulder
Rodriguez (shoulder) acknowledged Thursday that he is still in recovery mode, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
"We're getting there," said Rodriguez. "You know, there's still a process to this. So I'll leave that to the higher ups but right now we're feeling really good and everybody's really happy with where we're at." The 24-year-old right-hander did not pitch at any level in 2022 following November 2021 surgery to repair the capsule in his throwing shoulder, and it sounds like he will not be available at the beginning of the 2023 campaign.

Mitch White RP | MIL
Blue Jays' Mitch White: Recovered from shoulder injury
White revealed Thursday to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com that he suffered a right shoulder impingement over the offseason, though he's currently healthy.
White is thankfully over it by now and believes he can make a strong claim this spring for the No. 5 spot in the Blue Jays' rotation to open the season. Yusei Kikuchi is his primary competition for that role. The odd man out will likely wind up in long relief.

Ron Marinaccio RP | CIN
Yankees' Ron Marinaccio: Facing hitters Tuesday
Marinaccio (shin) will face hitters Tuesday and believes he's on track to be ready for Opening Day, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
Marinaccio was unavailable for the playoffs last season because of a stress reaction in his right shin. He's being eased into things this spring, but it sounds as though he should be fine for Opening Day, barring any setbacks. The right-hander posted a 2.05 ERA over 40 relief appearances for the Yankees in 2022.

Dillon Tate RP | TOR
Orioles' Dillon Tate: To miss first month of season
Tate will be sidelined for the first month of the season due to a flexor strain he suffered in November, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
It hasn't been a good day for the Orioles' bullpen with Felix Bautista (shoulder/knee) also injured. The hope is that Tate will be ready to return around late April/early May, but flexor strains can linger and sometimes lead to more serious injuries. Tate posted a 3.05 ERA over 67 appearances for the O's last season.
-
DL Hall RP | MIL
Orioles' DL Hall: Nursing back issue
Hall will have a delayed start to spring training due to a lumbar injury, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
Hall is still expected to be in the mix for a spot on the Opening Day roster, but the injury obviously doesn't help his chances. The hard-throwing lefty is expected to be used as a starter this spring but might also be an option for the bullpen.
-
Felix Bautista RP | BAL
Orioles' Felix Bautista: Slowed by knee, shoulder injuries
Bautista will have a delayed start to spring training while recovering from knee and shoulder injuries, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
Bautista ended last season on the injured list with left knee soreness. He also missed a little time in September with what the Orioles referred to at the time simply as arm fatigue, but it's fair to assume now that it was shoulder related. The team expects Bautista to pitch in some Grapefruit League games and think he has a chance to be ready for Opening Day, but this is certainly not the news you want to hear at the beginning of camp. With Dillon Tate (elbow) also sidelined, Mychal Givens might see some save chances if Bautista misses time.

Colby White RP | NYY
Rays' Colby White: Throws bullpen session
White (elbow) threw his fourth bullpen session Wednesday since undergoing Tommy John surgery, RaysRadio.mlb.com reports.
White underwent Tommy John surgery last April and is hoping to be game-ready by June. He was added to the Rays' 40-man roster over the offseason and is a good bet to make his major-league debut at some point in 2023.
