Fujinami will serve as the Athletics' opener Friday against the Marlins, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Fujinami's first season in the majors has certainly been rough, as he holds a 12.00 ERA and 1.97 WHIP through 30 innings. However, he's seen an uptick in performance recently, allowing one run on one hit over 2.1 frames. Fujinami will likely stay in Friday's game for an inning or two before turning things over to Hogan Harris, who will take on most of the workload.

Thielbar (oblique) will be evaluated by the Twins on Friday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Thielbar has thrown two scoreless innings while on a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul. If all goes well during his evaluation, there's a good chance the Twins activate Thielbar off the injured list Friday. The 36-year-old reliever holds a 1.80 ERA across 10 innings and has been sidelined since May 5 with a right oblique strain.

Romano earned his 13th save Thursday against the Brewers after he allowed one run on one hit and one walk during the ninth inning. He had one strikeout.

The right-hander allowed the first two batters to reach base via a triple and a walk, but he limited the damage to a single run thanks to a double play. Romano has earned a save in each of his past three appearances and is now tied for fourth in MLB with 13. He hasn't been as dominant as the past couple seasons but still has a strong 3.27 ERA and 28:7 K:BB in 22 frames this year.

Davidson earned a save against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out two batters over three innings.

Davidson didn't pitch particularly well -- among the seven hits he allowed, five went for extra bases -- but Los Angeles got off to such a big early lead that the southpaw still got credit for a save. This was mostly a case of the Angels preserving their bullpen and letting Davidson ride things out with a comfortable cushion, and he'll likely be down for a few days since he tossed 54 pitches in the outing. The reliever has two saves in long relief on the campaign, but he's not someone to target for that category (or any) in fantasy.

Mushinski was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Mushinski has posted a 5.40 ERA over three relief appearances with the big club this season. He's clearing out to make room for Thursday's starter, Ronel Blanco.

Blanco was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Blanco will make his first major-league start Thursday against the Angels. The 29-year-old has posted a 0.56 ERA and 21:13 K:BB over 16 innings covering two starts and two relief appearances at Sugar Land this season and a 4.50 ERA in nine relief outings with Houston. He would figure to be on a relatively limited pitch count Thursday.

The Yankees activated Kahnle (biceps) from the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Kahnle will join the Yankees' bullpen ahead of their three-game weekend series at Dodger Stadium after missing the first two months of the 2023 regular season due to lingering right biceps tendinitis. He signed a two-year, $11.5 million free-agent contract with New York over the winter and could potentially pitch his way into a share of the team's unsettled closer role.

Thielbar (oblique) tallied two strikeouts in a scoreless rehab inning Thursday with Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Theilbar also worked a scoreless frame -- with one strikeout -- in his rehab debut Tuesday. Sidelined since early May because of a right oblique strain, the veteran reliever seems likely to return to the Twins' bullpen this weekend.

Harris is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Marlins in Miami.

Harris will be making a second straight turn through the Oakland rotation, this time operating as a traditional starter after he served as a bulk reliever his last time out. In his return to the big leagues last Saturday, Harris turned in one of the best performances from an Oakland pitcher all season, limiting a tough Astros lineup to one hit and one walk while striking out five over five scoreless frames.

Voth allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over 2.1 innings Wednesday versus the Guardians. He did not factor in the decision.

Voth has served as a long reliever for much of the season, but he was tabbed for a primary-pitcher assignment behind opener Keegan Akin in this contest. It didn't go very well, as Voth struggled in the third and fourth innings, and the rest of the Orioles' bullpen didn't fare much better. Over 14 innings in May, Voth pitched to a respectable 3.86 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP. He's at a 4.71 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB through 28.2 innings overall. He's tentatively scheduled to pitch next week in Milwaukee if he continues to fill the fifth-starter role opened up by Grayson Rodriguez's demotion to Triple-A Norfolk. Voth could also end up back in the bullpen if the Orioles opt to give Cole Irvin another chance in the rotation soon.
