Bradford struck out one over a scoreless two-thirds of an inning in Monday's 7-2 loss to Detroit.

Bradford, a minor-league starter that made three starts for Texas this year, mopped up in the ninth inning with the Rangers trailing by five. This was his first relief appearance at any level since college at Baylor, and the first time pitching in 13 days. Texas manager Bruce Bochy didn't want Bradford's first relief appearance as a pro to be on short notice in a high-leverage situation, and Monday's large deficit presented an opportunity. The manager confirmed to Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News that the team doesn't have a firm plan for the left-hander at this time, but the 25-year-old could be of use while the team is in the midst of a stretch of 17 games in 17 days leading up the All-Star break.

Sewald earned a save against the Nationals on Monday by striking out the only batter he faced.

That brought Sewald into the game, and he ended the threat with a strikeout of Jeimer Candelario. The veteran right-hander continues to be the primary ninth-inning option for the Mariners, and he's converted 12 of 14 save opportunities on the campaign.

Voth (elbow) resumed throwing Monday on flat ground, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Voth entered into a rest and treatment period when he hit the 15-day injured list in mid-June due to elbow discomfort, but he's on the right track again and could perhaps return to the Orioles' bullpen before the All-Star break. He had registered a 4.94 ERA and 31:14 K:BB across 31 innings of relief prior to the IL stint.

De Leon is set to undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery after he underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed a torn ligament in his right elbow, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

De Leon already underwent Tommy John surgery once back in 2018, and now he'll have to take another year-plus off as he recovers from his second procedure. He finishes 2023 with a 4.67 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through 17.1 frames and likely won't return until late in the 2024 season, if at all.

Stephan (3-3) took the extra-inning loss Sunday versus the Brewers. He allowed an unearned run on a hit and a walk while striking out two in one inning.

Stephan couldn't keep the game tied in the 10th inning, and the Guardians weren't able to catch up. Owen Miller supplied the RBI double to beat his former team. Stephan has still gone 8.2 innings without allowing an earned run since a three-run meltdown June 1. The setup man owns a 2.18 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 38:11 K:BB with two saves, 12 holds and four blown saves over 33 innings this season.

Clarke (1-2) took the loss Sunday against the Rays after allowing two runs on one hit and two walks while striking out a batter over an inning.

Clarke entered in the seventh with the game tied at one and got off to a good start by striking out Luke Raley, but things quickly took a turn. The next three batters reached to load the bases and two runs would score, one on a wild pitch and another on a sacrifice fly. Clarke now has been charged with two blown saves and two losses over his last four outings and has given up nine runs over that span. He now sits at a 4.81 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB in 33.2 innings.
