Tarnok was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of Friday's game against the Twins.

Tarnok has been working as a starter at Triple-A, logging a 2.12 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and a 9:9 K:BB in 17 innings over his four most recent outings. The 24-year-old righty could work in tandem with a lefty like Ken Waldichuk, but it's not initially clear when the former will make his first MLB appearance of the year and whether it will be as a starter or long reliever.

Staumont (neck) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Staumont had a setback late last month in his recovery from a neck strain and now won't be eligible for activation until early August. There's no actual timeline for his return yet, however.

Zerpa (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

The shoulder issue which has kept Zerpa out all season looks to be behind him, but he'll remain at Omaha where he had been on his rehab assignment. Zerpa has collected a 2.91 ERA and 22:9 K:BB over 21.2 frames covering six rehab starts.

Barriera (elbow) continues to build up during live batting practices and could return to the Single-A Dunedin rotation in a couple of weeks, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.

The high-upside lefty struck out 18 with a 76.9 percent groundball rate in 13.1 innings across his first four professional starts this May before landing on the injured list with a sore elbow. According to Davidi, Barriera has been sitting 92-94 mph with his fastball during his recent sessions.

The White Sox acquired Mayers from the Royals on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Mayers was removed from the Royals' 40-man roster last month after putting up a 6.15 ERA in six games (two starts) this season. He'll head to Triple-A Charlotte for now but could eventually get a shot with the White Sox in the rotation or bullpen.

Hall has been at the Orioles' spring training facility in Florida for the past four weeks in an effort to regain strength and velocity, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Banner reports.

Hall's average fastball velocity at Triple-A was 93.5 mph, down from the 96.2 mph average fastball he showed in the majors last year. He dealt with lower-back discomfort this past winter, which prevented him from lifting weights like he normally does in the offseason, and the back issue lingered into spring training, so he never really had a normal buildup prior to pitching in real games. Hall built up to 98 total innings in 2022 and is sitting at 44.1 innings this season, so he is running out of time to approach the 100-inning mark. The 24-year-old southpaw came into the year with bullpen risk due to his shaky control, and this season's arm-strength-related setback makes a future in the bullpen seem even more likely.

Seattle claimed Oller off waivers from the Athletics on Wednesday, Jessica Kleinschmidt of TheComeback.com reports.

Oller, 28, holds a 7.09 ERA over 28 appearances (15 starts) at the big-league level covering the last two seasons and has struggled in 2023 at Triple-A Las Vegas as well, pitching to a 7.11 ERA. He'll report to Triple-A Tacoma with his new organization.

Romano left the All-Star Game with a trainer Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Romano was reportedly dealing with tightness in his lower back after coming in to pitch the seventh inning. His removal was labeled as precautionary, but he will presumably be evaluated in the near future to determine his status for the start of the second half. Fantasy managers should consider Romano day-to-day for the time being.

The Blue Jays reinstated Jackson (personal) from the paternity list Monday.

Jackson is one of two players the Blue Jays will bring back from the paternity list coming out of the All-Star break, as outfielder George Springer is also set to rejoin the team after welcoming the birth of his child. The Blue Jays optioned right-hander Bowden Francis to Triple-A Buffalo to clear room on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen for Jackson.

The Athletics outrighted Garcia to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday after he cleared waivers.

While no longer a part of the Athletics' 40-man roster, Garcia will remain in the organization. The reliever has put up an 8.31 ERA over seven relief appearances during his time in the majors this season.
