The Red Sox reinstated Kelly (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Sunday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Kelly has been out for most of the season while recovering from elbow surgery he underwent in April. He allowed eight runs over six innings during his rehab assignment and has been deemed ready to join Boston's bullpen for the final week-plus of the season. The Red Sox optioned Nick Robertson to Triple-A Worcester and designated Kyle Barraclough for assignment as corresponding moves.

The White Sox recalled Cronin from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

As Jesse Scholtens heads to the injured list, Cronin will return to the major-league roster a day after being optioned to the minors. The 26-year-old righty has given up 10 runs through 7.2 innings with the White Sox this season, so he likely still won't see much action while with Chicago.

Estevez picked up the save in Saturday's 1-0 win over Minnesota, striking out two over one inning while not allowing any hits or walks. He also hit a batter with a pitch.

Estevez entered the game with a one-run lead in the ninth and hit Kyle Farmer with a pitch in the opening at-bat before getting the next two batters to go down swinging. The right-handed reliever was then able to retire Christian Vazquez on a flyout to secure his 31st save of the season, marking the first time in his last four appearances that he didn't allow any hits or walks. Estevez has converted two of his last three save opportunities and has not given up a home run since Aug. 3.

May recorded his 20th save in the Athletics' win over the Tigers on Saturday, allowing a hit and a walk over 1.1 innings. He struck out three.

May turned in another impressive late-game performance while generating his 13th straight scoreless outing overall. The veteran right-hander's multi-inning appearance was his first such outing since Aug. 5, when he'd earned a win while logging 1.2 frames against the Giants. May has registered a save in eight of his last 11 trips to the mound as well and has worked his ERA down to 3.43 with his current strong stretch of pitching, his lowest figure in that category since after his first appearance of the season back on April 4.

Rosenberg (2-2) earned the win Saturday, allowing five hits and two walks over five scoreless innings against the Twins while striking out five.

Rosenberg was able to keep the Twins at bay despite giving up two walks and a single in the opening frame. He allowed a single in all five innings in which he appeared but was able to escape each time without sustaining any damage. The lefty has now allowed three or fewer runs in three of his four outings this month, though he's also issued at least two walks in all but one appearance this season.

Romano (5-6) blew the save and took the loss Saturday as the Blue Jays were downed 7-6 by the Rays, giving up two runs on four hits in two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one.

The Toronto closer gave up three straight hits to lead off the ninth inning, but it looked like he might escape the jam with the score still tied 6-6 when he coaxed an apparent double-play grounder from Junior Caminero. Upon replay, the Tampa Bay rookie was judged to be safe at first base, and Josh Lowe followed with a walk-off hit. Romero hadn't blown a save since May 20, ending his streak of successful conversions at 26 -- a Blue Jays franchise record. On the season, the right-hander has a 2.68 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 70:24 K:BB through 57 innings while converting 36 of 40 save chances.

Chapman picked up a save against the Mariners on Saturday, walking one batter and allowing no runs over two-thirds of an inning.

Chapman threw just five of his 10 pitches for strikes and walked the first batter he faced to put the tying run on base after entering with one out and one on in the ninth. However, the fireballer was able to retire Seattle's final two batters to close out the contest and record his sixth save. Chapman has been shaky in September with a 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB over seven innings, but he's converted both of his save chances while emerging as Texas' primary ninth-option ahead of Will Smith.

Perez earned a save against the Guardians on Saturday with a perfect inning of work.

After John Means allowed one run over 7.1 frames, Yennier Cano got the call in the eighth inning with Baltimore holding a one-run lead. Cano retired both batters he faced before turning it over to Perez, who pitched a perfect ninth for the save. This was an excellent bounce-back performance for Perez after he gave up three runs without retiring a batter in his previous outing Thursday against Cleveland. Prior to that meltdown, the left-hander hadn't allowed an earned run over his previous 17.2 innings covering 23 appearances.

Shaw picked up the save in Saturday's 1-0 victory over the Red Sox. He allowed two hits and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

Despite surrendering two singles in the ninth inning, Shaw was able to successfully shut the door on Boston, earning his third save of the season. After 10 consecutive scoreless appearances to start September, the veteran reliever had given up an earned run in each of his previous two outings prior to Saturday. He now owns a 4.65 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 33 appearances (40.2 innings) on the campaign.

Pivetta did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three hits and one walk over seven scoreless innings against the White Sox. He struck out seven.

The White Sox mustered just three singles off Pivetta; however, Boston's offense didn't provide any run support and the 30-year-old had to settle for a no-decision. In five September appearances (four starts), he has posted a 3.08 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and an impressive 33:4 K:BB across 26.2 innings. Pivetta tentatively lines up for a road matchup with the AL East-leading Orioles in the team's final regular-season series next week.
