Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Out with hamstring discomfort
Turner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the A's with left hamstring discomfort, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Turner returned last week from the left hamstring strain and appears to have aggravated the injury. The 35-year-old served as the designated hitter in all of his five starts since being activated and was scheduled to play third base Tuesday before the late scratch. The veteran infielder should be considered day-to-day until the team specifies the severity of the aggravation.

Giants' Brandon Belt: On bench against lefty
Belt is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Giants' Alex Dickerson: Out of Tuesday's lineup
Dickerson is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
The 30-year-old had X-rays on his right elbow come back negative after being hit by a pitch Monday, but he'll remain on the bench with southpaw Kyle Freeland pitching for Colorado. According to Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area, Dickerson checked out fine despite the bruise and is available off the bench Tuesday. Darin Ruf will bat cleanup and start in left field for the Giants.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Late scratch Tuesday
Turner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the A's, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
The 35-year-old was scheduled to play the field at third base for the first time since coming off the injured list last week, but he's been removed from the lineup a couple hours before first pitch. The team has yet to provide an official reason, but the obvious worry is that Turner aggravated the hamstring strain he just returned from. Edwin Rios takes over at the hot corner Tuesday for the Dodgers.

Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Sitting out Tuesday
Ohtani isn't in Tuesday's lineup against the Padres.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: X-rays on elbow return negative
Dickerson underwent postgame X-rays on his right elbow after he was struck by a pitch in the ninth inning of Monday's 7-2 loss to the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The X-rays returned negative, so Dickerson looks like he'll be good to go for Tuesday's game. However, with a lefty (Kyle Freeland) on the bump for Colorado, the lefty-hitting Dickerson could be a candidate to get the night off. Dickerson was making his return from the paternity list Monday and was the Giants' most productive hitter in the loss, reaching base four times while supplying a solo home run and his seventh double of the season.

Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Belts fourth homer
Carpenter went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Royals on Monday.
The veteran squared up on a fourth-inning Carlos Hernandez offering and sent it 439 feet into center field. The round tripper accounted for the Cardinals' only run of the night and was Carpenter's first since Sept. 12. Despite Monday's success, it's been another difficult season at the plate for Carpenter, who's still in the midst of a 2-for-26 slump that covers his last nine games and has sunk his season average back down to .188.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Hobbled, stays in game
Jimenez came up hobbling after beating out an infield single during Monday's 7-4 loss to Cleveland, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Ramirez stayed in the game after some mild discomfort. "He said he felt like he pinched his knee a little bit," manager Rick Renteria said. "He said he was 100 percent fine. Sometimes you can step on the bag and just irritate it a little." The slugging outfielder finished with three hits in four at-bats, including his 14th home run.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Launches ninth homer
Dickerson went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Rockies.
After being activated from the paternity list earlier in the day, Dickerson showed off some new-dad power, accounting for half of the Giants' hits in the contest. His biggest was a seventh-inning blast off reliever Carlos Estevez. Dickerson is up to nine homers, 26 RBI, 23 runs scored and a .290/.365/.565 slash line in 45 contests.
