Bryant (back) acknowledged June 11 that he still experiences discomfort while running during his rehab program, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. "I'm just being completely honest. When I do run, I am sore -- not just sore, but hurting. We've determined to keep trying and see if it continues, if it improves. That's where I'm at," Bryant said. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking that some days I see light at the end of the tunnel, some days I don't."

Colorado placed Bryant on the injured list April 14 due to lumbar degenerative disc disease before he underwent an ablation procedure May 8 to combat the injury. He was able to play catch June 10 and then began taking dry swings in addition to light running June 11, but the latter activity proved to be the most difficult for him. In the three weeks since then, the Rockies haven't provided an official update on Bryant's status, but he's presumably a long ways off from heading out on a rehab assignment, much less returning from the 60-day IL. His absence appears likely to extend well past the All-Star break.

Stanton went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk Wednesday in a loss to Toronto.

Stanton landed the biggest blow in a six-run fifth inning for New York with a 415-foot, three-run blast to center field. It was the first homer -- and the second extra-base hit of any type -- for the veteran masher since coming off the injured list and making his season debut June 16. Through 13 games this season, Stanton is slashing .244/.346/.333 with seven RBI.

Yelich went 1-for-7 with a solo home run and a pair of walks in Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Mets.

Yelich got the Brewers on the board in the nightcap with an opposite-field homer off Blade Tidwell, his 17th this season. The 33-year-old Yelich has been on a tear of late, going 22-for-58 (.379) with four homers and 19 RBI in his last 14 contests. Overall, he's slashing .259/.337/.460 with a team-high 61 RBI, 43 runs scored and 12 stolen bases through 347 plate appearances this year.

Yoshida (shoulder) went 0-for-2 with a walk for Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday.

Yoshida kicked off a rehab assignment with the WooSox, serving as the DH and playing all seven innings in the first game of a doubleheader. Given his lengthy stint on the injured list, Yoshida may be given the maximum time allowed (20 days) before before being activated. It's unclear if there will be a regular role for Yoshida when he returns, particularly as Boston looks to get at-bats for top prospect Roman Anthony.

Hays started in left field and went 1-for-5 in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Boston. He went 0-for-4 as the DH in the first game, a completion of Tuesday's suspended contest.

Wednesday's regularly scheduled meeting between the two clubs was the first time Hays played the field since being activated off the injured list in late June. He'd missed nearly a month with a foot injury but appears ready to handle whatever role manager Terry Francona has planned for him.

Bell went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

Bell was productive throughout the contest, driving in runs in the first, third and eighth innings. Over his past 10 games, the 32-year-old has hit safely seven times while collecting four extra-base hits and 10 RBI. For the season, he's slashing just .204/.292/.365 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI and 26 runs scored across 288 plate appearances.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to Atlanta.

Soler was able to eat into the Angels' steep deficit in the ninth inning as he smacked a solo homer off Dylan Dodd to left-center field. It was Soler's ninth home run of the season, and he has gone 2-for-6 in his two games since returning from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Fry went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Cubs.

Fry cranked his second homer of the season and logged only his second multi-hit game through his first 21 outings. The righty-hitting 29-year-old has served strictly as a designated hitter after missing the start of the season due to offseason elbow surgery, and he's mostly struggled in a weak-side platoon role. Fry is slashing .163/.226/.306 with the aforementioned two long balls, one double, four RBI and one stolen base over 53 plate appearances.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Athletics.

Diaz played a big role in the Rays' five-run sixth inning, when he took Mitch Spence deep to left-center field for a two-run homer. Diaz has been hot at the plate over the last month and has reached base safely in 26 consecutive games dating back to June 3. Over that span, he has slashed a ridiculous .404/.483/.641 with 17 runs scored, four doubles, six home runs and 15 RBI across 118 plate appearances.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

The Guardians are facing a lefty (Shota Imanaga) for the third game in a row, and the left-handed-hitting Manzardo has been excluded from the lineup for all of those contests. David Fry will get another start at designated hitter Wednesday at Manzardo's expense.
