Hays went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 6-0 loss to Houston.

Hays, who was given a rest day Saturday, returned to the lineup as the designated hitter. It was his second start since being activated off the injured list Friday, with both starts coming at DH. He's bounced between left field and DH, but with two leg injuries already this season, manager Terry Francona may manage him carefully and not expose him too much in the field. Hays has gotten off to a nice start, batting .328 with five home runs and 13 RBI through 16 games.

Schwarber went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Guardians.

Schwarber was the Phillies' offense in this contest, going deep with a solo shot in the second inning and a two-run blast in the eighth. The notorious slow starter has skipped right to midseason form in 2025, slashing .269/.404/.593 over 40 contests to begin the year. He's been even better in May, batting .333 (13-for-39) with five homers and nine RBI over 10 games this month. Schwarber also has a share of the major-league lead with 14 homers through Sunday's action, and he's added 32 RBI, 29 runs scored and four stolen bases.

Devers went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Royals.

Devers broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run homer that traveled 440 feet in the sixth inning. Despite the drama surrounding the 28-year-old in recent days, he's gone 17-for-37 with four extra-base hits and 12 RBI through 10 games in May. On the season, he's slashing .280/.398/.490 with seven home runs, 31 RBI, 25 runs scored and a steal across 191 plate appearances.

Yelich went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

Yelich homered and stole a base in the same game for the second time this week and the fourth time this season. He's struggled overall in May, though, going just 6-for-35 with a 1:13 BB:K in nine games. On the season, he carries a disappointing .208 batting average but continues to provide value with seven home runs, 26 RBI, 19 runs scored and eight steals across 165 plate appearances.

Santander (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Santander will hit the bench for a third straight game as he continues to nurse the sore left shoulder he suffered Thursday. Toronto has a scheduled day off Monday, so the outfielder will end up having four full days of rest heading into Tuesday's series opener versus the Rays. Nathan Lukes and Jonatan Clase are starting in the corner-outfield spots Sunday for the Blue Jays.

Soler (groin) will start at designated hitter and bat third in Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Soler was out of the lineup for the previous two games due to a groin injury, though the fact that he was deployed as a pinch hitter in Friday's 4-1 loss suggested that the Angels weren't too concerned about the issue. He'll take back his normal duties at DH in the series finale and should be in store for a full slate of starts during the Angels' upcoming six-game week.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Though he was included in the lineup the last time the Orioles faced a lefty starter (Kris Bubic) on May 3, the lefty-hitting O'Hearn will retreat to the bench Sunday while southpaw Tyler Anderson takes the hill for the Angels. O'Hearn's absence will allow the Orioles to give Adley Rutschman a day off from catching and deploy him as their designated hitter.

Polanco is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Polanco started the previous six games and experienced his first real slump of the season, as he went 3-for-25 with a double and three RBI during that stretch. The 31-year-old still has an impressive .327/.373/.653 slash line with nine homers and 28 RBI through 111 plate appearances this year. Cal Raleigh will rest his legs as the designated hitter Sunday while Mitch Garver starts at catcher.

The Rockies transferred Bryant (back) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

The move comes just a few days after the Rockies announced that Bryant underwent a successful ablation procedure to address his chronically bothersome back. The 33-year-old is without a timeline to resume baseball activities, but given the nature of his surgery as well as his placement on the 60-day IL, he'll most likely remain sidelined at least through the end of June. Since signing a seven-year, $182 million contract with the Rockies in March 2022, Bryant has had nine separate stints on the IL and has slashed just .244/.324/.370 over 712 total plate appearances.

Alvarez (hand) has been cleared to grip a bat and could start hitting off a tee Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

It's progress for Alvarez, who was placed on the injured list Monday due to a right hand muscle strain. He's first eligible to come off the injured list Tuesday, but he'll likely need to take dry swings without issue before the Astros activate him. According to McTaggart, Alvarez could be reinstated prior to a series against the Rangers that begins Thursday, so the Astros seem to have some optimism that the slugger will return within the week.
