Franmil Reyes DH | WAS
Indians' Franmil Reyes: Won't miss time
Reyes (wrist) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates, batting fifth as the designated hitter.
Reyes left Sunday's game against the Tigers after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch, but he's ready to go following Monday's scheduled off day. He'll be looking to continue his recent hot streak, in which he's hitting .515 with four homers and 11 RBI over his last nine games.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Marlins' Harold Ramirez: Ready to resume workouts
Ramirez was one of 18 Marlins that tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this season who received clearance Saturday to resume baseball activities at the team's alternate training site in Jupiter, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Ramirez started in right field in the Marlins' first two games of season before he was shut down following his positive test for the coronavirus. Though he's now made a full recovery from the coronavirus, the three-plus weeks of activity that he missed while waiting to clear all protocols means Ramirez likely need several days worth of workouts before Miami deems him ready to return from the IL. Once he's activated, Ramirez will likely settle into the short side of a platoon in the corner outfield with either Matt Joyce or Corey Dickerson.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Sitting against left-hander
Pederson isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners.
With southpaw Marco Gonzales on the mound for Seattle, Pederson will get a day off. Chris Taylor will take over in left field, batting sixth.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Lands on injured list
Alvarez was placed on the 10-day injured list with right knee discomfort Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
It certainly hasn't been the sophomore season Alvarez dreamed of thus far. After missing all of camp due to COVID-19 and spending the first part of the regular season building up at the Astros' alternate training site, the young slugger lasted just two days into his return before the knee issues he battled back in spring training returned. He last played Saturday, so he'll be eligible to return Aug. 26, though it's not yet clear if he's expected to do so. Taylor Jones was recalled in a corresponding move and could be an option as the designated hitter, though Abraham Toro has handled the position in Alvarez's absence and will likely continue to do so.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Remains out Tuesday
Alvarez (knee) remains on the bench Tuesday against the Rockies, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
Alvarez played just two games this season before the knee issues that plagued him back in spring training resurfaced. He's now set to sit for the third straight contest. The young slugger underwent an MRI on Monday which came back negative, but it remains unclear when he's expected back on the field. Abraham Toro will be the designated hitter in his absence Tuesday.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Undergoes MRI
Alvarez (knee) underwent an MRI on Monday, and the results were negative, Alyson Footer of MLB.com reports.
That the results were negative is promising, but the power-hitting Alvarez is not necessarily in the clear. "I asked him when did he start having these problems, and he said back in Double-A," Houston manager Dusty Baker said. "Most of the time when you have knee problems, they don't subside very quickly. And when they do, they have a history of coming back." Alvarez could be available in a pinch-hitting role in the short term.

Kyle Lewis DH | ARI
Mariners' Kyle Lewis: Cranks fifth homer
Lewis went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's 11-9 loss to the Dodgers.
Lewis' biggest hit was his third-inning homer, part of a five-run rally by the Mariners. The outfielder is slashing .345/.420/.529 with five homers, 17 RBI, 15 runs scored and a stolen base through 23 games. He should continue to put up respectable numbers while hitting in the heart of the order.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Cardinals' Brad Miller: Clocks two homers
Miller went 2-for-3 with two homers, three RBI and a walk in a loss to the Cubs in the second game of Monday's doubleheader.
Miller knocked a two-run shot for his first homer of the season in the second inning before going deep again in the fourth. He's 4-for-9 with three extra-base hits in his first three games this season.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Cardinals' Brad Miller: Comes up with game-winning hit
Miller went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the Cubs.
Miller delivered the big hit in this one, delivering a double with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning to give his club the lead. The veteran utility man could carve out a key role for himself if he continues to produce, especially given his versatility.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Not in Monday's lineup
Ohtani is not starting Monday against the Giants.
Ohtani is able to serve as the designated hitter on a more regular basis now that he's not pitching any more this season, but he won't be immune from the occasional off day. He hasn't really gotten going at the plate this season, hitting a modest .203/.271/.453. Justin Upton will be the designated hitter Monday.
