Smith started at first base and went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Smith got the nod at first when Josh Naylor (shoulder) was scratched. The latter suffered a shoulder injury on an aggressive swing during Monday's game and was eventually removed from that contest. The fact he was nearly ready to play Tuesday suggests Naylor could start Wednesday. In that event, Smith would likely move back to designated hitter with Arizona set to face Chicago right-hander Sean Burke.

Winker (oblique) is on track to begin a minor-league rehab assignment by this weekend, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The Mets shifted Winker from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL earlier Tuesday, but he's nearly ready to play in games and will initially serve as a designated hitter during his rehab assignment. He is eligible for activation July 4 and should be ready to go at that time, barring any setbacks. Once reinstated, Winker could settle back into a strong-side platoon role for the Mets.

Ballesteros is slashing .336/.396/.504 with eight home runs across 62 games for Triple-A Iowa.

Ballesteros is tied for the International League lead in hits with 81 as he continues to knock on the door of the majors. The 21-year-old made his MLB debut back in May, appearing in five games for the Cubs while Ian Happ was on the injured list. Ballesteros could get the call the next time Chicago needs someone to fill in temporarily, but he may force his way into an even bigger role based on his performance in the minors. Ballesteros remains an intriguing prospect with plenty of fantasy potential, particularly if he sticks behind the plate long-term.

The Mets transferred Winker (oblique) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Winker was moved to the 60-day IL in order to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Frankie Montas (lat), who was activated from the 60-day IL ahead of his start Tuesday against Atlanta. The transaction does not alter Winker's timetable, as he is coming up on the 60-day mark of his absence with a right oblique strain and still appears to be at least a couple of weeks away from a return.

Bell went 2-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI in a 10-6 victory versus San Diego on Monday.

Bell was one of three former Padres to shine against San Diego on Monday, joining CJ Abrams (3-for-5, three runs) and James Wood (3-for-5, homer, four RBI). Bell's contributions included a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning, a run-scoring single in the fifth and a solo home run in the ninth. He's still batting a meager .197 on the campaign, but Bell hasn't been entirely unproductive, as he ranks fourth on the team in both homers (10) and RBI (28).

Smith went 2-for-4 with two homers, four RBI and a walk in Monday's 10-0 victory over the White Sox.

Smith extended Arizona's lead to 5-0 with a three-run long ball off Chicago starter Shane Smith in the second inning. The 29-year-old wasn't finished, as he returned to launch a 416-foot solo shot in the fourth off reliever Dan Altavilla to collect his second career multi-homer game. This pair of blasts is a welcome sight for Smith since he entered the contest with a .158/.340/.316 slash line across 50 plate appearances in June.

Grichuk started in right field and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Colorado.

Grichuk knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the second inning and singled in a run two innings later. He's started five consecutive games, which includes three against left-handers and two against righties. Grichuk routinely starts against southpaws, but his presence against right-handers is due to Corbin Carroll's hand injury. Carroll has missed four games due to the injury, and now the Diamondbacks will have him undergo an MRI. Arizona is scheduled to face White Sox right-hander Shane Smith on Monday.

Ohtani threw a perfect inning with two strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a three-RBI triple and two additional runs scored during Sunday's 13-7 win over the Nationals.

Ohtani surrendered a run and two hits in his 2025 pitching debut, but he rebounded with a dominant first inning Sunday. The two-way star showcased exactly why he's one of the most valuable players in baseball, adding to the stellar pitching by plating five runs and reaching safely three times. The performance marked Ohtani's second game this season with five-plus RBI and snapped a 2-for-19 (.105) slump that occurred over his past five games. With 26 home runs, he trails only Cal Raleigh (31) and Aaron Judge (27) in home runs in 2025.

Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 7-1 win over the Mets.

Schwarber tagged David Peterson for a solo homer in the fourth inning, marking the slugger's fourth home run in his last 11 outings. During that stretch, Schwarber is 11-for-40 (.275) with nine RBI, 11 runs scored and two strikeouts. On the year, he has the fifth-most homers in baseball.

Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 14-6 loss to the Mariners.

Suzuki registered his fourth multi-homer game of the season and second already this month, but it wasn't enough as Chicago's pitching staff struggled badly Sunday. The outfielder is now up to 20 long balls this year, which is the third straight season he's reached that plateau. Suzuki's power surge also has him in the top 10 in the majors in home runs, giving him plenty of fantasy appeal so far in 2025.
