    Pederson was placed on the 10-day injured list due to left wrist tendinitis, retroactive to April 21, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

    Pederson had already been out of the lineup for the last two games due to this issue. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action, but Jake Marisnick could see increased playing time in Pederson's absence. Nico Hoerner was recalled from the Cubs' alternate training site in a corresponding move.

    With the Mets bringing a lefty (Joey Lucchesi) to the hill for the second straight day, the left-handed Pederson will once again head to the bench. Jake Marisnick will replace Pederson in the Chicago outfield.

    The 31-year-old had only three hits all season entering Wednesday's contest, but he pounded out four singles during the series finale. Miller should continue to see extended playing time with Jean Segura (quadriceps) landing on the 10-day injured list.

    Ruf hit a pinch-hit, three-run home run in his only at-bat in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Phillies.

    Ruf pinch hit for pitcher Caleb Baragar in the seventh inning and blasted the three-run shot to tie the game at 4-4. The 34-year-old Ruf has mostly worked in a bench role this season. He has three homers, six RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base across 23 plate appearances. Only one of his four hits so far has stayed in the yard.

    Dickerson went 3-for-4 with an RBI single in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Phillies.

    Dickerson put the Giants ahead in the seventh inning with an RBI single to plate Mike Yastrzemski. The 30-year-old Dickerson is slashing .239/.314/.435 with three homers, nine RBI, five runs scored and no stolen bases across 51 plate appearances this season. Wednesday was his first multi-hit effort of the year.

    Harper went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

    The 28-year-old continues to swing the bat well and has four straight multi-hit games, going 10-for-14 with two homers and four walks during that stretch. Harper has a .357/.493/.625 slash line with four home runs, eight RBI, 13 runs and a 14:13 BB:K through 17 games this season.
