Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said Wednesday that Choi (Achilles) has resumed light baseball activities, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Choi is about four weeks into an estimated eight-week recovery timetable until he's cleared to take part in full baseball activities, but he's able to do a little light hitting and throwing now. He may not be ready for game action until late June or early July while he works his way back from a left Achilles injury.

The Mets plan to recall Vientos from Triple-A Syracuse prior to Wednesday's game against the Rays, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

New York is hoping the 23-year-old can provide a lift to a sputtering lineup, as Vientos had been one of the top performers in the International League this season with a 1.104 OPS, 11.9 percent walk rate and 20.5 percent strikeout rate over 166 plate appearances. The slugger could initially serve as a short-side platoon option at third base or designated hitter, though it wouldn't be surprising if he eventually eclipsed Daniel Vogelbach as the Mets' preferred option at DH. Vogelbach has drawn walks at a prolific rate (16.8 percent) this season but is offering little power production (.119 ISO), an element the Mets could desperately use in their lineup.

Soler went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over Washington.

With the Marlins down to their final strike, Soler crushed a two-run shot off Hunter Harvey, giving Miami a 5-4 victory. The 31-year-old Soler has been hot of late, going 14-for-43 with five home runs and 12 RBI in his last 11 games. He's now slashing .238/.317/.503 with 10 homers, 22 RBI and 20 runs scored through 164 plate appearances on the campaign.

Morel is starting in center field and batting third Tuesday against the Astros.

Cody Bellinger (knee) is absent from the lineup for this one, allowing yet another opportunity for Morel to impress. He's gone 9-for-26 (.346) with four homers and nine RBI in six games since his May 8 promotion from Triple-A Iowa. The 23-year-old can also work in at second base for the Cubs as Nico Hoerner recovers from a hamstring strain.

Winker is out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Cardinals.

Milwaukee will go heavy on right-handed hitters with left-hander Jordan Montgomery set to toe the slab for St. Louis. Darin Ruf is serving as the DH and batting fifth.

Ozuna is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers.

Eddie Rosario will serve as Atlanta's designated hitter and bat fifth with right-hander Dane Dunning on the mound for Texas. Ozuna had drawn three straight starts at DH prior to this night of rest.

McCutchen is in the DH spot and hitting leadoff Tuesday versus the Tigers.

This marks McCutchen's second straight start out of the leadoff spot. He's up to a .357 on-base percentage and .823 OPS through 143 plate appearances on the year. Ke'Bryan Hayes is hitting fifth Tuesday for Pittsburgh.

Vogelbach is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rays.

Vogelbach was held out Monday with the Mets facing left-hander Patrick Corbin and he'll ride the pine again Tuesday with left-hander Jalen Beeks getting the start for Tampa Bay. Tommy Pham is in the DH spot and batting fifth.

Ozuna went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Texas sent backup catcher Sandy Leon to the mound in the ninth inning with Atlanta ahead 10-0, and Ozuna rubbed a little salt in the wound by putting a batting-practice fastball into the second deck in left field. The 32-year-old slugger continues his impressive May, batting .300 (12-for-40) on the month with six of his eight homers and 12 of his 14 RBI.

Meneses went 4-for-5 with three doubles and four RBI in Monday's 10-3 win over the Mets.

Meneses' first RBI double opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, and his second put the Nationals back on top 2-1. He struck out his third time up but responded with a run-scoring, infield single in the sixth and extended Washington's lead to 10-2 with another RBI double in the eighth. Monday's performance marked Meneses' third four-hit game of the season, but it was his first outing of the year with multiple extra-base knocks. The 31-year-old is slashing .300/.328/.394 across 40 games (177 plate appearances) and is proving his breakout 2022 campaign wasn't a fluke.
