  • Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Stays hot at plate

Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a home run, one run scored and two RBI on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Jimenez was the final batter in a series of four consecutive homers for the White Sox in the fifth inning. It was his seventh home run of the season and fourth in his past five contests. Jimenez now has a .267/.291/.573 line across 79 plate appearances to go along with 17 RBI and nine runs scored.

  • Mike Ford DH | MIN

Yankees' Mike Ford: Plates three in win

Ford went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an RBI single in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox.

Ford opened the scoring in the first when he knocked in Gio Urshela with a single. In the third, Ford went deep off Red Sox starter Chris Mazza. The 28-year-old Ford is up to two homers, 10 RBI, three runs scored and a .194 batting average in 11 games this season.

  • Kyle Lewis DH | ARI

Mariners' Kyle Lewis: Picks up two more hits

Lewis went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Astros.

Lewis gave the Mariners a 2-1 lead with a two-out RBI single in the third inning, but that would ultimately be the last run Seattle could muster in the loss. Lewis has been by far Seattle's best hitter thus far in 2020, slashing a robust .325/.400./.482 with four home runs.

  • Franmil Reyes DH | WAS

Indians' Franmil Reyes: Launches two homers before exiting

Reyes went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and a single in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Tigers. He left the game after being hit on the wrist in the ninth inning.

Reyes's stellar day at the plate was soured by a Joe Jimenez pitch hitting him on his wrist in the ninth inning. X-rays on the slugger's wrist came back negative, but it's unclear if he'll be able to return to the lineup for Tuesday's tilt with the Pirates. The 25-year-old has five homers and 15 RBI while slashing an impressive .316/.366/.533 across 76 at-bats.

  • Miguel Cabrera DH | DET

Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Drives in three Sunday

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 8-5 loss to Cleveland.

Cabrera plated two with a single in the third inning, then brought home another run in the fifth with a single. The veteran has been struggling, as he's batting just .188 with a .655 OPS after Sunday's two-hit performance, but he should continue to get regular at-bats as the Tigers' designated hitter.

  • Franmil Reyes DH | WAS

Indians' Franmil Reyes: Escapes with bruise

Reyes' X-rays on his wrist were negative Sunday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Reyes was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Tigers after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch, but he escaped with nothing worse than a bruise. He'll get at least one day to rest, as Cleveland has a scheduled off day Monday, though whether or not he's ready to return Tuesday in Pittsburgh remains to be seen.

  • Mike Ford DH | MIN

Yankees' Mike Ford: Playing time on upswing

Ford will start at first base and bat fifth Sunday against the Red Sox.

DJ LeMahieu (thumb) became the third Yankees regular to land on the injured list in a one-week span Sunday, joining Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) and Aaron Judge (calf). The latter two absences had already opened up more work for Ford, and his chances of earning a more stable role should only increase while LeMahieu is sidelined. Ford, who is picking up his fifth start in six games Sunday, is batting just .156 over 35 plate appearances, but three of his five hits have gone for extra bases.

  • Franmil Reyes DH | WAS

Indians' Franmil Reyes: Exits after getting hit in wrist

Reyes left Sunday's game against the Tigers after a pitch struck him in the wrist, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

The exact nature and severity of the injury is not yet clear. He'll rest for at least one day, with Cleveland having a scheduled off day Monday. If he's forced to miss time, Domingo Santana would likely serve as the designated hitter, opening up more at-bats in a crowded Cleveland outfield.

  • Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Scratched with sore knee

The Astros scratched Alvarez from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners with right knee discomfort, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Alvarez was slated to serve as the Astros' designated hitter in what would have been his third start in as many days since returning from the COVID-19 injured list, but Abraham Toro will now handle those duties instead. As Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle noted Friday in Alvarez's season debut, the 23-year-old was still running gingerly after knee soreness had previously limited his activity during spring training. While it's somewhat troubling that Alvarez is still contending with knee problems over five months since spring training concluded, the Astros are seemingly hopeful that the slugger can continue to play through the injury while receiving occasional maintenance days. That said, Alvarez's fantasy managers will still want to verify that he's ready to play in Monday's series opener versus the Rockies before locking him into weekly lineups.

  • J.D. Martinez DH | NYM

Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Delivers two in loss

Martinez went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 11-5 loss to the Yankees.

Martinez's bat appears to be coming around following a slow start. He's 7-for-21 with three extra-base hits and eight RBI over the last six games. He believes he's located the root cause of his poor start, per Christopher Smith of MassLive.com. "My hips are sliding," Martinez said. "Whenever your hips slide, you have to make decisions more out in front. Whenever you've got to make decisions more out in front, you don't recognize pitches. ... It's been my hips. Go to the source: the hips." Despite the mini-surge, Martinez is batting .234/.322/.416, numbers well below is career standards.
