Stallings will get a breather after he started each of the last three games behind the dish. Nick Fortes will handle the catching duties for Miami in the series finale with the Rays.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

He'll have a more crowded path to playing time moving forward after the Astros activated Michael Brantley from the 60-day injured list Tuesday, but manager Dusty Baker will likely look to find ways to keep Diaz's bat in the lineup so long as the rookie remains productive. Diaz has compiled a .917 OPS over 36 games since the All-Star break.

Campusano caught all 10 innings Tuesday but will remain in the lineup for Wednesday's early game, as he's starting behind the plate and batting eighth in the series finale against the Cardinals.

Higashioka went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday in a 4-2 win against the Tigers.

HIgashioka accounted for New York's second run of the contest with his fifth-inning solo homer. The long ball was the second in three games for the backstop and his third over his past seven contests, though all have been solo shots. With Ben Rortvedt slashing a measly .122/.246/.265 on the campaign, Higashioka has settled into the primary catcher role for the Yankees, starting each of the team's past three games.

Stephenson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Stephenson will take a seat for the day game after he went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts while catching all eight innings of Tuesday's 6-1 loss. Luke Maile will handle the catching duties for the Reds in the series finale.

Jeffers will start at catcher and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Despite going 0-for-9 with six strikeouts in his last two starts, Jeffers will be behind the dish for the fourth time in six contests as the Twins close out their series with the Guardians. Jeffers owns a .965 OPS since the All-Star break and looks to be the Twins' preferred option at catcher over Christian Vazquez for the moment.

Vazquez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

The Twins' catching timeshare has tilted in favor of Ryan Jeffers of late, leaving less playing time available for Vazquez. The 33-year-old will be on the bench Wednesday for the fourth time in the last six games.

Jansen is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Toronto and Washington are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, so Jansen will rest after catching all nine innings of Tuesday's 5-4 win. Alejandro Kirk will spell Jansen behind the dish Wednesday.

Gomes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The Cubs and Brewers are concluding their three-game series with a day game after a night game, so Gomes will get a breather after he was behind the dish for Tuesday's 1-0 win. Miguel Amaya will catch for starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks on Wednesday.
