Stephenson went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 11-1 win over the White Sox.

Stephenson homered as part of Cincinnati's five-run third inning, his first homer of the season. The catcher is finding his groove, having hit safely in four consecutive games. Stephenson is slashing .258/.324/.419 through 34 plate appearances.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Blue Jays.

Diaz delivered singles in each of his first two at-bats, coming around to score after the first while driving in a run with the latter. The performance extended his hitting streak to six games, the first five of which came at Coors Field. Diaz has started 10 of the first 14 contests of the season and should remain the Rockies' primary catcher.

Davis went 2-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk during Friday's 5-2 win over the Phillies.

Davis drew a bases-loaded walk to drive in the Pirates' first run of the game in the second inning and gave the team some insurance with an RBI double in the eighth to make it a 4-1 game. The 24-year-old backstop has gotten off to a slow start in 2024, but he has now recorded a base hit in each of his last three games, going 4-for-9 with three walks in that span.

Heim went 1-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Friday's win over the Astros.

Heim belted a three-run shot during the Rangers' six-run third inning. It was his second long ball of the year, both of which have come in the last four games. Heim entered Friday's contest with just four RBI over his previous seven appearances.

McGuire isn't in the Red Sox's lineup for Friday's game against the Angels, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

With southpaw Reid Detmers on the mound for Los Angeles, the left-handed bat of McGuire will begin Friday's contest in the dugout. Connor Wong will take over behind the plate and bat seventh.

Ruiz is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Ruiz will miss his third game in a row due to an illness. In his absence, Riley Adams will draw the start at catcher after the Nationals optioned Drew Millas to Triple-A Rochester following Wednesday's game.

Rutschman is out of the lineup for Friday's game versus the Brewers, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Rutschman started Baltimore's first 12 games of the season (eight at catcher, four at designated hitter), but he'll get a breather Friday for the series opener versus Milwaukee. James McCann will step in behind the plate to catch for Tyler Wells.

Pinto is absent from the lineup Friday against the Giants.

It's been an even timeshare at catcher this season for the Rays, as Pinto and Ben Rortvedt -- who is in Friday's lineup -- have both received seven starts. Pinto has put up a .579 OPS with a 1:11 BB:K in 23 plate appearances and is still looking for his first RBI this season.

Wong entered as a pinch hitter and went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Thursday's 9-4 extra-inning loss to the Orioles.

Wong's home run tied the game in the eighth inning, setting up the extra frame. He remained in the game to play second base and was eventually moved behind the plate when starting backstop Reese McGuire was ejected for arguing a called strike. The catching split thus far has favored McGuire, who has eight starts and 33 plate appearances compared to Wong's five starts and 20 PAs.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 13-3 loss to the Royals.

Diaz provided one of the few bright spots in Houston's lopsided defeat, blasting a 432-foot homer off Brady Singer to get the Astros on the board in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old Diaz has gotten off to a scorching start at the plate, going 17-for-51 (.333) with a .931 OPS, three homers and seven RBI through his first 13 games. Diaz looks to be building on his impressive rookie campaign, where he slashed .282/.308/.538 with 23 home runs and 60 RBI across 355 at-bats.
