Raleigh went 3-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Reds.

The backstop led the charge for the M's from the three-spot in the order, cranking his 26th homer of the season in the fourth inning off Lyon Richardson. Raleigh has been locked in for a few weeks, slashing .300/.383/.614 over his last 20 games with six home runs, 13 runs and 14 RBI as Seattle pushes for the AL West title.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in a win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Perez connected off Hyun Jin Ryu for a 410-foot shot to left field with Ryan Noda aboard in the fourth to erase a 1-0 deficit. The round tripper marked Perez's first time leaving the yard since June 30 and was the veteran's career-high sixth homer of the campaign. Perez should continue seeing semi-regular playing time over the final weeks of the season while filling in at catcher, first base and designated hitter.

Contreras went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three total RBI in an 11-6 win against Atlanta on Wednesday.

Contreras recorded an RBI in each of the first and third innings before slugging a solo homer in the seventh. The long ball was his fourth over his past six contests, a stretch during which he's gone 7-for-23 with seven runs and seven RBI. Contreras needs three more long balls this season to reach 20 for the fifth time in his career.

Adams was removed from Wednesday's game against the Mets with a left hand injury and will get an MRI done Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Adams entered Wednesday's contest as a pinch hitter for Travis Blankenhorn, but Adams injured his hand after fouling off a pitch and wasn't able to finish his at-bat. Initial X-rays came back inconclusive, so more information won't be available until Adams' MRI results come back Thursday. Early indications don't seem promising for the 27-year-old backstop.

Herrera will be optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

With the D-backs claiming Seby Zavala off waivers from the White Sox on Wednesday, Herrera will be sent back to the minors as the club has decided against carrying three catchers on the active roster. The 26-year-old is slashing just .202/.296/.245 across 113 plate appearances in the majors this year and will likely remain in Triple-A to conclude the season.

Padres manager Bob Melvin said Wednesday that Sanchez has a fractured wrist, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

With less than a month left in the season, a fractured wrist likely spells the end of Sanchez's 2023 campaign. He slashed .220/.292/.504 across 257 plate appearances upon joining the Padres in late May. Luis Campusano figures to take over as San Diego's primary catcher for the remainder of the year.

Bethancourt is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Bethancourt and Rene Pinto have alternated starts over the past 15 games, but Pinto will make his second straight start Wednesday against Boston. Bethancourt has a .226/.258/.375 slash line with nine home runs in 94 games this season and should continue to split time with Pinto down the stretch.

Barnes cleared concussion protocol Wednesday after getting hit by a backswing Tuesday versus the Marlins, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Barnes has a contusion on the side of his head where Nick Fortes accidentally struck him with his bat in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday, but the 33-year-old backup catcher could return to action as soon as Thursday. Will Smith is behind the plate for the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Alvarez is absent from the lineup Wednesday at Washington.

Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a homer, a double, three RBI and three runs scored in the Mets' defeat of the Nationals on Tuesday, but Omar Narvaez will handle the catching duties for New York in Wednesday's series finale.

Rogers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Rogers is 4-for-21 with 10 strikeouts in his past six games, and he'll take a seat for Wednesday's contest. Carson Kelly will step in behind the plate to catch for Matt Manning.
