Lee is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Lee will hit the bench after starting each of the previous four games, with three coming behind the plate. Martin Maldonado will fill in for Lee at catcher Wednesday.

Casali is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Casali had started behind the plate in each of the previous three games, but he'll likely see his opportunities dwindle after Patrick Bailey (concussion) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday. The journeyman backstop has fared well through the first four starts of his second stint with the Giants, going 4-for-16 with four walks, three runs and two RBI.

Trevino is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

After starting three straight games -- all against right-handed pitching -- from Saturday through Monday, Trevino now finds himself on the bench against a righty (Bryce Miller) for the second contest in a row. Trevino still holds a sizable edge over fellow catcher Austin Wells in OPS for the season (.776 to .620), but manager Aaron Boone doesn't appear ready to move Wells into a pure backup role just yet.

Jansen is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Jansen will get a breather for the series finale after he was behind the plate both of the previous two days. Alejandro Kirk will draw the start at catcher Wednesday.

Langeliers went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

The slugging backstop got it done a bit differently Tuesday, with Langeliers showing some solid plate discipline while recording his second multi-walk effort of the season, both which have come within the last week. Langeliers' steal was also his first of the campaign, and with the pair of free passes, he's now reached safely in six consecutive games.

Grandal (groin) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Giants.

Grandal was removed late in Tuesday's 7-6 win with left groin soreness. He has avoided the injured list for the time being, though the Pirates have added catcher Grant Koch to their taxi squad as protection in case the team needs to move another backstop onto the 26-man active roster. Joey Bart will handle the catching duties Wednesday in Grandal's stead.

Herrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Herrera caught three innings earlier in the day after the Cardinals resumed Tuesday's suspended game in the bottom of the sixth and emerged with a 3-1 victory, so he'll just be getting some rest in Wednesday's regularly scheduled game. Pedro Pages will get the starting nod behind the dish.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

He'll be getting a breather for the series finale after starting behind the dish Monday and Tuesday while going 3-for-8 with a pair of doubles, two runs and an RBI. Victor Caratini will handle the catching duties Wednesday.

Fermin will start at catcher and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

He'll be rewarded with his third start in four games after going 4-for-7 with a walk, an RBI and two runs between his previous two turns behind the plate. The Royals will likely continue to make room for Fermin in the lineup when the team opposes left-handed pitching, but his opportunities against right-handers will likely remain more limited while top backstop Salvador Perez is healthy.

O'Hoppe is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Houston, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The Angels' top catcher will get a routine day off as the Angels and Astros wrap up their series with a game that begins at 2:10 p.m. ET. Matt Thaiss will start behind the plate Wednesday while O'Hoppe receives some rest.
