Rutschman is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Tampa Bay.

Rutschman started the first three games of the series at catcher and had been in the lineup for each of the last 10 contests for the Orioles. However, after going 3-for-5 with a grand slam and a career-high six RBI in Sunday's 9-2 win, Rutschman will get a breather Monday as Baltimore goes for the rare four-game sweep. James McCann will pick up the start behind the dish.

Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rortvedt will get a break for the series finale after he caught all nine innings of Sunday's 9-2 loss while going 1-for-4 with a double. Alex Jackson will step in behind the dish Monday.

The White Sox announced that Stassi underwent a season-ending left hip surfacing procedure Friday in New York City.

After missing the entire 2023 season while he was a member of the Angels due to a hip injury in addition to a family medical issue, Stassi will now go another full season without logging any big-league action. The veteran catcher was able to make five rehab appearances at Triple-A Charlotte in April but had been shut down ever since due to a hip injury that apparently wasn't improving after nearly two months of rest. The White Sox hold a $7.5 million team option on Stassi for the 2025 season that the club will almost certainly decline this winter, if he isn't cut loose before then.

Raleigh went 2-for-5 with a two-run single in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Sunday.

Raleigh followed Julio Rodriguez's tie-breaking single in the 10th inning with his own clutch knock, pushing Dylan Moore and Rodriguez across with two more runs that would prove to be critical in the one-run victory. The veteran backstop is hitting just .214 over his last nine games, but he has a trio of two-RBI tallies during that span while hitting a solid .267 with runners in scoring position.

O'Hoppe went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, a steal and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

O'Hoppe tallied his second four-hit game of the season and also managed to swipe his first base of the year. Most of his damage came in the later innings, as he scored all three of his runs over the final four frames. He saved his biggest hit of the day for last, as he took Josh Hader deep on the first pitch he saw to walk things off for the Angels and cap off an excellent offensive showing. O'Hoppe is now riding a mini four-game hit streak and has eight hits over that span. After his monstrous performance, the 24-year-old backstop is slashing .269/.322/.446 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 27 runs and a 13:51 BB:K in 209 plate appearances.

Maile went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Cubs.

The Reds' offense busted out the last week during the club's seven-game winning streak but was dormant Sunday. Maile launched his second homer and has hit safely in seven of the last nine games (7-for-23, .304).

The Phillies returned Marchan to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Marchan will head back to Lehigh Valley after he joined the Phillies over the weekend and served as the club's 27th man for its two-game set in London versus the Mets. He didn't appear in either contest and hasn't seen any big-league action since 2021.

Ruiz went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI Sunday against Atlanta.

Ruiz hammered a three-run blast in the fourth to give the Nationals a lead they would never relinquish. He later added a fourth RBI on a sac fly in the fifth that provided the Nationals with their eighth and final run of the contest. It was the fourth homer of the season for Ruiz to go along with 17 RBI and 16 runs as he's struggled to a .202 average through 163 at-bats.

Pages went 1-for-2 with a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Rockies.

Pages' RBI came on a sacrifice fly in the second inning to open the scoring. The backup catcher has had few chances to make an impact, and he's rarely done so even when in the lineup. He's slashing .091/.241/.136 with no home runs, five RBI, three runs scored and a double over 29 plate appearances this season. Ivan Herrera seems set to hold down a starting job at catcher until Willson Contreras (forearm) returns, at which point Pages is likely ticketed for Triple-A Memphis.

Alvarez (thumb) resumed his rehab assignment Sunday with High-A Brooklyn, starting at catcher while going 0-for-5 in a 7-6 loss to Aberdeen.

After going 3-for-14 with a home run and three walks across the first five games of his rehab assignment, Alvarez had been out of the Brooklyn lineup for each of the previous three days while tending to a family matter in his native Venezuela. He rejoined Brooklyn for its final game of the week, and though he came up empty at the plate, getting additional at-bats under his belt is the more pressing concern for Alvarez as he looks to prove he's made a full recovery from the left thumb surgery he underwent in late April. If the Mets are comfortable with Alvarez's health coming out of Sunday's contest, he could be activated from the 10-day injured list for the start of the big club's series with the Marlins that begins Tuesday.
