Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks in Wednesday's 5-2 win over Tampa Bay.

The Mariners had gone scoreless through five until Raleigh connected for the deciding hit of the game. His 14th homer of the season ties him for the MLB lead at the position, tied with Shea Langeliers and Adley Rutschman. Raleigh now has two home runs in his last three games after a stretch in which he hit only one over 29 games.

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Ruiz will rest up after he started at catcher in each of the Nationals' last four games while going 3-for-13 with a pair of doubles and walks. Drew Millas will get the nod behind the dish in Ruiz's stead.

Thaiss will start at catcher and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

With top backstop Logan O'Hoppe getting a rare day off, Thaiss will start for just the fifth time in June. Thaiss' playing time will likely remain fairly limited throughout the season if O'Hoppe is able to stay healthy.

Langeliers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

O'Hoppe had started each of the previous 11 games -- including 10 at catcher -- so the Angels determined it was time to give him a breather. Matt Thaiss will start behind the plate for the Halos in Wednesday's series finale.

Grandal is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Grandal will get a breather for the day game Wednesday after he started behind the dish in each of the Pirates' last three contests. Jason Delay will spell Grandal, forming a battery with starting pitcher Luis Ortiz.

Jackson will start at catcher and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Jackson will get a turn behind the plate while top backstop Ben Rortvedt rests for the day game after a night game. Since his call-up from Triple-A Durham on May 3, Jackson is hitting a lowly .081/.159/.161 with 31 strikeouts in 70 plate appearances.

Rogers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Rogers had started behind the plate in three of Detroit's last four games while going 3-for-10 with a walk and two runs. He'll get a breather for the day game Wednesday while Carson Kelly draws the start at catcher.

Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rortvedt started the previous two contests and went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and four RBI in the Rays' 11-3 win over the Mariners on Tuesday night, but he'll begin the Wednesday afternoon contest on the bench. Alex Jackson will get the nod behind the plate.

Contreras went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored during Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Rangers.

Contreras got the Brewers on the board in the third inning, swatting a leadoff double before being driven in on a two-out single by Jackson Chourio. Tuesday's contest marked Contreras' first multi-hit game since June 16. While the catcher's power numbers are down overall, he's one stolen base away from matching his career high of six and is on pace for a career-best strikeout rate at 19.3 percent.
