Rafael Marchan C | PHI
Phillies' Rafael Marchan: Belts first homer of year
Marchan went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Orioles.
The 25-year-old backstop took Kyle Bradish deep in the fifth inning, giving Marchan his first hit and first long ball with the Phillies this season. He's started two of four games since J.T. Realmuto (knee) was sidelined, and he could split work behind the plate fairly equally with Garrett Stubbs unless one of them seizes the starting job.

Salvador Perez C | KC
Royals' Salvador Perez: Removed with knee discomfort
Perez was pulled from Friday's game against the Dodgers due to right knee discomfort.
Perez hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning to give Kansas City a 3-0 lead, but his knee caused him to come out of the game during the eighth. It's unclear how severe the backstop's injury is, but the Royals should know more before Saturday's contest. If he does have to miss any amount of time, Freddy Fermin would be the next man up as Kansas City's main catcher.

Henry Davis RF | PIT
Pirates' Henry Davis: Exits with concussion-like symptoms
Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies after exhibiting concussion-like symptoms.
It's unclear when exactly Davis might have suffered an injury, but he was replaced behind the dish by Yasmani Grandal ahead of the seventh inning. Davis is in the process of being evaluated by the Pirates' medical staff.

Pedro Pages C | STL
Cardinals' Pedro Pages: Hits first career homer
Pages went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.
Pages opened the scoring with his first career homer, taking Hayden Wesneski deep in the eighth inning. This was Pages' fourth start over the Cardinals' last five games, though he's gone just 3-for-12 in that span. All of his starts have come at catcher, which has taken a chunk out of Ivan Herrera's playing time. Pages is slashing just .125/.231/.250 with seven RBI, four runs scored and one double through 39 plate appearances. With Willson Contreras (forearm) tracking toward an earlier-than-anticipated return, Pages may be on his way back to Triple-A Memphis before the end of the month.

Ivan Herrera C | STL
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Logs steal Friday
Herrera went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.
Herrera is up to four steals this season, three of which he's recorded over 11 games in June. The catcher is batting .316 (12-for-38) this month, adding five doubles, seven runs scored and one RBI. For the season, he's at a steady .273/.335/.366 slash line with three home runs, 17 RBI, 22 runs scored and six doubles over 179 plate appearances. Herrera has started behind the dish just once in the last five games, though it's unclear why his playing time has dipped, as Pedro Pages has made little impact with his bat.

Yasmani Grandal C | PIT
Pirates' Yasmani Grandal: Riding pine Friday
Grandal is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies.
For the third time in the last five games, Grandal will give way to Henry Davis behind the dish. Grandal is 2-for-21 (.095) in June, though Davis hasn't been much better this month, going 2-for-15 (.133) with nine strikeouts.

Elias Diaz C | KC
Rockies' Elias Diaz: Lands on IL with calf strain
The Rockies placed Diaz on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a left calf strain, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports..
Diaz was removed in the bottom half of the first inning of Monday's game against the Twins after straining his left calf while running to first base. He was held out for the rest of that series in the hopes he would be available for a weekend set against Pittsburgh, but instead the 33-year-old heads to the IL. Jacob Stallings got the start at catcher the last two games, and he figures to see most of the action behind the plate while Diaz is sidelined, though Hunter Goodman will provide some depth and will start at catcher for Saturday's game, per Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com.

Ben Rortvedt C | NYM
Rays' Ben Rortvedt: Idle against southpaw
Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta.
Rortvedt will take a seat Friday with lefty Chris Sale on the mound for Atlanta. Alex Jackson will bat ninth and catch for Zack Littell.
-
Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Taking seat Friday
Moreno is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.
Moreno will yield to the lefty-hitting Tucker Barnhart on Friday with RHP Chris Flexen starting for the White Sox. In June, Moreno is batting .278 with six extra-base hits, seven runs and five RBI.

Ryan Jeffers C | MIN
Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Receiving Friday off
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Oakland.
Jeffers has yet to make consecutive starts behind the plate this season, and his playing time has slipped lately, as he hasn't made a start at designated hitter since June 1. It's been a rough month so far for the 27-year-old, who has gone 3-for-30 through nine contests. Christian Vazquez will step in behind the plate Friday to catch for Simeon Woods Richardson.
