Chuckie Robinson C | ATL
Dodgers' Chuckie Robinson: Optioned to Triple-A
The Dodgers optioned Robinson to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Robinson was called up by the Dodgers on Saturday to serve as an emergency catcher due to the absences of Will Smith (hand) and Dalton Rushing (shin). Even with Rushing on the 10-day IL and Smith day-to-day with his injury, the Dodgers needed to make room on the 28-man roster for a returning Max Muncy (oblique). Robinson will head back to Oklahoma City, where he has slashed .259/.344/.361 with four home runs and 28 RBI in 189 plate appearances.

Will Smith C | LAD
Dodgers' Will Smith: Not starting Monday
Smith (hand) is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Rockies on Monday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Smith will remain out of the Dodgers' lineup while working through a right hand contusion that he suffered Thursday against the Pirates, when his throwing hand was struck by a ball while he was catching. Imaging came back negative, but the contusion is something that Smith will likely have to work through for the rest of the season. Ben Rortvedt will serve behind home plate and bat ninth in Monday's series opener.

Jimmy Crooks C | STL
Cardinals' Jimmy Crooks: Settling in as primary catcher
Crooks is starting at catcher and batting sixth in Monday's game against the Mariners.
Crooks is making his third start over the last four games and the left-handed hitter has been in the lineup four times across the Cardinals' last five contests versus righties. According to Katie Woo of The Athletic, Crooks is expected to continue seeing the bulk of the starts behind the dish for the rest of the season. Pedro Pages' could be limited mostly to playing versus lefties, while Yohel Pozo will be used as a pinch hitter.

Carson Kelly C | CHC
Cubs' Carson Kelly: Receiving rest Monday
Kelly is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta.
Kelly will get a breather for the series opener in Atlanta after he started behind the plate in the final two games of the Cubs' weekend set versus the Nationals, going 2-for-7 with a pair of solo home runs, an additional RBI and a walk between those contests. Reese McGuire will handle catching duties for Chicago on Monday.

Angels' Sebastian Rivero: Joins big-league roster
The Angels selected Rivero's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rivero is assuming the roster spot vacated by Logan O'Hoppe and is starting Monday's game against the Twins. It will be the 26-year-old's first action at the major-league level since 2022. Rivero has hit .264/.309/.429 with nine homers in 68 contests this season with Salt Lake.

Logan O'Hoppe C | LAA
Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Goes on concussion injured list
The Angels placed O'Hoppe on the 7-day concussion injured list Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
O'Hoppe had to be removed from Sunday's game against the Athletics after being struck in the head by the backswing of Jacob Wilson, and after going through tests it has been determined he suffered a concussion. He will be eligible for activation Sept. 16, but it's an uncertain timeline to return anytime a concussion is involved. Sebastian Rivero has been added to the roster and is starting at catcher Monday against the Twins, but it will be Travis d'Arnaud seeing the bulk of the action behind the dish while O'Hoppe is out.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Resting Monday
Stephenson is not in the Reds' starting lineup against the Padres on Monday.
Stephenson will be on the bench for Monday's series opener while Jose Trevino catches for Nick Lodolo. Stephenson has gone 1-for-5 with a run and two RBI in two games since returning from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Luis Torrens DH | NYM
Mets' Luis Torrens: Goes on IL with bruised forearm
The Mets placed Torrens on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a right forearm contusion.
According to Laura Albanese of Newsday, Torrens said he suffered the injury while blocking a ball behind the plate in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Reds, and while he has avoided a fracture, he's sore enough that the Mets decide to make a roster move. Hayden Senger was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to replace Torrens as the Mets' backup catcher.

Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Still having concussion symptoms
Ruiz has been pulled off his rehab assignment with Double-A Harrisburg on Monday due to mild headaches and will rejoin the Nationals in Miami to re-enter concussion protocol, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Ruiz's return from the 7-day injured list had seemed imminent, but interim manager Miguel Cairo was non-committal on the 27-year-old's availability to play again this season following his latest setback, per Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post. Riley Adams will continue serving as the Nationals' primary catcher while Ruiz is shelved, with Jorge Alfaro backing up Adams.
