Vazquez is not in the lineup Tuesday against Toronto, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

The Red Sox had been alternating games for their catchers for the month of September, but Vazquez will now sit for his second straight. Sandy Leon will again start behind the plate.

Barnhart is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Barnhart will take a seat after starting the previous two games behind the dish, going 3-for-8 with three RBI during those appearances. Curt Casali will start at catcher in his stead.

Sanchez went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a double Monday in the Yankees' 7-2 win over the Twins.

It was Sanchez's best performance at the dish since he was reinstated from the disabled list Sept. 1, as the backstop had managed just three hits in 25 at-bats over seven games on the month heading into Monday. Despite enduring multiple setbacks on the health front this season and batting just .189 across 313 plate appearances, Sanchez still makes for a viable No. 1 catcher for most fantasy squads, a reflection of the lack of high-end offensive talent at the position league wide.

Grandal went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Monday against Cincinnati.

Grandal went deep in the sixth inning to bring the Dodgers within three runs, but the Reds would tack on insurance runs in the bottom half of the inning. He's been cold at the dish over his previous 10 games, going just 2-for-21 with a home run, four RBI and two walks.

Hedges went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over Cincinnati.

Hedges has now started two consecutive games after retreating to the bench in favor of Francisco Mejia over the previous two. This falls in line with manager Andy Green's plan to split starts between the young catchers. The timeshare is obviously less favorable for Hedges' fantasy owners, as he was the unquestioned starter when healthy this year, but he is providing enough pop (.200 isolated power mark) to maintain value in deeper formats.

Vazquez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Astros, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Vazquez hasn't started on back-to-back days since being activated from the 10-day disabled list Sept. 1, and that trend doesn't appear to let up anytime soon. Vazquez and Leon have been equally anemic offensively this season, with the former owning a .558 OPS compared to the latter's .549.

Grandal is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Grandal will sit for the second straight game as left-hander Tyler Anderson takes the mound for the Rockies. Austin Barnes will start behind the plate as Grandal is slashing .091/.262/.182 in 42 plate appearances over his last 15 games.

Perez is not in the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic reports.

Perez started the past two games, but considering he missed seven contests before that due to a thumb injury, the Royals seem to be easing him back into full-time duty. Cameron Gallagher will replace him behind the dish Sunday.

Narvaez is not in the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Brian Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Narvaez is hitting just .184 against lefties this season, so he'll ride the pine while southpaw Andrew Heaney starts for Los Angeles. Welington Castillo will slide behind the dish to replace him.

Jansen is not in the lineup Sunday against the Indians, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

After going 11-for-32 (.344) in August, Jansen has just two hits in the month of September. As a result, he'll head to the bench for the third time in the past four games. Reese McGuire will take a turn behind the dish to replace him.
