Gomes is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Dodgers.

Gomes started three of the last four games after suffering a forearm bruise after being hit by a pitch Monday, but he's hitless with one walk, one RBI and five strikeouts in 11 at-bats. Kurt Suzuki will start behind the plate and bat fifth in his stead.

Barnes is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Barnes started the last two games behind the plate and went 0-for-7 with a walk and a stolen base, but he will return to the bench for the series finale. Russell Martin will bat eighth and catch Hyun-Jin Ryu on Sunday.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Diaz went 1-for-3 with a base hit Saturday while making his fourth start at catcher this month. Though Francisco Cervelli is hitting just .170 for the season, the Pirates haven't provided any indication that they're considering moving on from him as their primary backstop.

Maile is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Maile had started three of the last four games behind the plate, but Danny Jansen will check back in at catcher in the series finale. Though Jansen currently tops the depth chart, his leash as the primary option behind the plate has undoubtedly loosened after turning in a lowly .471 OPS through his first 97 plate appearances this season. With a .443 mark of his own, however, Maile hasn't made a compelling case yet to displace Jansen for the top job.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Murphy started behind the dish Friday and Saturday, recording a hit in both games but striking out five times between the two contests. Omar Narvaez will check back into the lineup for the series finale and looks to have a fairly steady hold on the top spot on the depth chart at catcher.

Narvaez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Narvaez closed out the scoring with a ninth-inning solo shot, his first homer since April 19. The backstop already has a trio of multi-hit efforts in May, while his .297/.383/.486 season line (128 plate appearances) is fully comprised of career-best figures.

Garver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Garver will get a breather after starting the second game of Saturday's twin bill, during which he went 1-for-4 with a triple, walk, RBI and a run. Willians Astudillo (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the series finale and will check in behind the dish and serve as the Twins' leadoff hitter Sunday, but Garver seems to have established himself as the preferred option in the three-way timeshare at catcher.

Maldonado is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Maldonado will head to the bench for the third straight Sunday as he gets a rest day after starting the last five games. Cam Gallagher will start behind the plate and bat eighth for the Royals in the series finale.

Sanchez (head) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Though he wasn't forced to exit Saturday's contest, Sanchez was apparently struck in the head at one point in the contest when one of the Rays' batters hit him while following through on a swing. Fortunately, Sanchez passed all follow-up concussion tests afterward, implying that his absence Sunday may be for maintenance purposes more than anything else. Unless the Yankees provide word prior to Monday's series opener with the Orioles that Sanchez is dealing with a legitimate head injury, expect him to re-enter the lineup at catcher that day.

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

D'Arnaud went 0-for-3 with a walk while starting at catcher in his Rays debut Saturday. Though he'll temporarily slot as the Rays' top backstop with both Mike Zunino (quadriceps) and Michael Perez (oblique) on the 10-day injured list, d'Arnaud will take a seat in the series finale as Anthony Bemboom checks in behind the plate.
