  • Kyle Teel C | CHW

White Sox's Kyle Teel: Piling up hits

Teel went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Tuesday against the Royals.

Teel has gotten on track at the plate since mid-August, and he's now recorded multiple hits in seven of his last 12 games. In that span, he's hit .419 with two home runs, 10 RBI and eight runs scored. Teel remains the White Sox's primary catcher, though he's also started six games at designated hitter since the start of August, limiting the amount of time he's been out of the lineup.

  • Henry Davis C | PIT

Pirates' Henry Davis: Leaves yard Tuesday

Davis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.

The Pirates jumped on Andre Pallante early with seven runs through two innings and Davis would add on another in the third with a solo blast to left. Three of his last four hits have gone for extra bases and the big blast brought Davis up to six for the year. He's now one shy of tying his career best from 2023 and is up to 18 RBI for the year.

  • Rangers' Kyle Higashioka: Goes deep in win

Higashioka went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Angels.

Higashioka contributed to the win with a solo blast in the fourth inning that finished Texas' scoring for the game. It was his ninth homer of the season and snapped an 0-for-13 run.

  • Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Racks up three hits in win

Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Langeliers wasn't able to lift another homer, but he logged his first multi-hit effort since Aug. 15 versus the Angels. The catcher has been sensational this month, batting .306 with 11 home runs and 22 RBI over 22 games in August. That surge has him up to a .266/.311/.547 slash line with 29 homers, 65 RBI, 60 runs scored, 23 doubles and five stolen bases through 101 contests on the year. He is on track for career-best numbers across the board in his third full major-league season.

  • Will Smith C | LAD

Dodgers' Will Smith: Goes yard in Tuesday's win

Smith went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Reds.

Smith's solo shot initiated a four-run rally in the sixth inning that helped the Dodgers secure the game. The catcher has had a rough August, going just 10-for-63 (.159) while adding three extra-base hits, nine RBI and a 12:22 BB:K over 19 games this month. The recent fade has taken a little of the shine off his season-long production, though he's still at a .295/.403/.494 slash line with 16 homers, 59 RBI, 61 runs scored and two stolen bases over 104 contests. Smith isn't in danger of losing the starting role to Dalton Rushing, though Smith has seen fairly standard rest once or twice a week throughout the year.

  • Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Pops 26th homer

Goodman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's victory over the Astros.

Goodman deposited a Hunter Brown sinker into the Crawford Boxes for a two-run homer in the third inning. The catcher's power has been a constant this season, as he's produced an .847 OPS with 23 doubles, four triples, 26 homers and 75 RBI across 116 games. Even with Colorado's season going poorly, the 25-year-old has consistently provided a spark offensively.

  • Brewers' William Contreras: Stays locked in with two-run homer

Contreras went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 win over Arizona.

The homer was Contreras' seventh of the month and his 15th of the year. The catcher's .763 OPS for the year may be slightly disappointing based on his high expectations entering the season, but he's been rolling for the past month or so. Over his last 130 plate appearances, Contreras is slashing .321/.415/.616 with nine long balls, six doubles and 23 RBI.

  • Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Belts three-run homer Tuesday

Moreno went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 loss to Milwaukee.

Moreno smashed his seventh homer of the year and his first since coming off the injured list due to a fractured finger. The 25-year-old backstop is primed to serve as Arizona's top catcher to finish out the campaign, and he's slashing a respectable .279/.332/.447 with nine doubles, one triple, 27 RBI, 33 runs scored and one stolen base over 205 trips to the plate.

  • Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Getting rest Tuesday

Dingler isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Dingler will get a breather Tuesday after going 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in Monday's series opener. Jake Rogers will bat ninth while catching for right-hander Charlie Morton.

  • Braves' Drake Baldwin: Taking seat Tuesday

Baldwin isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Although he's collected a base hit in each of his last four games and six of his last seven, Baldwin will ride the bench Tuesday while he continues to share duties behind the plate with Sean Murphy, who will bat seventh against Sandy Alcantara.
