Gomes left Monday's game against the Nationals with a potential injury, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Gomes was hit in the helmet in the bottom of the first on the backswing of Jeimer Candelario. Tucker Barnhardt has replaced Gomes behind the plate.

Nola is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

Nola will get a break for Monday's game against right-hander Luke Weaver and the Reds. Brett Sullivan will handle backstop duties and hit ninth.

Kirk is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Even though he produced five hits over his two starts this past weekend against the Mariners, Kirk will end up sitting for the second time in three days. Kirk still appears to be the Blue Jays' nominal No. 1 catcher, but Toronto remains incentivized to keep backup Danny Jansen involved due to Jansen's superior work on the defensive end.

The Guardians selected Fry's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Fry, 27, has hit .289/.381/.478 with two homers for Columbus this season. He's played first base, third base and second base this season and also has past experience at catcher. Fry will be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.

Wong is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

After catching in both of the Red Sox's past two games, Wong will get a breather for the series opener. Reese McGuire will form a battery with starting pitcher Corey Kluber on Monday.

Raleigh went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run home runs, a walk and an additional run in an extra-inning win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Raleigh was the most impactful contributor on a prolific afternoon for the Mariners offense. The hard-hitting backstop's pair of round trippers both came at critical times as well, with his eighth-inning shot to right center plating Jarred Kelenic to bring Seattle within a run and his 408-foot blast to right in the 10th snapping an 8-8 tie and eventually proving to be the game-winning hit. Raleigh pushed his OPS over the .800 threshold (.801) with Sunday's power breakout, and he now has eight RBI in the last nine contests.

Grandal went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Sunday's 12-9 victory over the Rays.

Grandal sent a blast to straightaway center in the sixth inning to put the White Sox back in front 3-2. He also reached after being hit by a pitch and later scored as part of a seven-run ninth inning. It was his third long ball of the year, and he's well on his way to surpassing last year's total of only five home runs. The 34-year-old is now slashing .241/.323/.446 with 11 extra base hits, nine RBI, eight runs, and an 8:22 BB:K over 93 plate appearances.

Alvarez will sit Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader with Atlanta.

Alvarez will get a rest in Monday's matinee after he went 1-for-2 in the first contest of the series. Tomas Nido will start behind the plate and bat ninth versus Atlanta.

Fortes went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Fortes singled with one out in the fourth inning before swiping second base, his first steal in his first attempt this season. He'd later come around to score on Garrett Hampson's double. Fortes has taken over the primary catching job in Miami but has yet to do much with the bat, slashing .200/.273/.260 with one home run in 55 plate appearances. However, he's shown some improvement over his last three games, going 3-for-8 with a pair of walks.
