Brewers' Omar Narvaez: Not starting Saturday

Willson Contreras 1B | BOS
Cubs' Willson Contreras: Returns from injured list
Contreras (knee) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Contreras has been deemed good to go after completing a three-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa, during which he went 2-for-11 with a pair of homers. He has been on the shelf since Aug. 11 with a right knee sprain. It's been a disappointing past couple seasons for Contreras, but he's a two-time All-Star and there are no questions about his role down the stretch. Next season will be his last before free agency.

James McCann C | ARI
Mets' James McCann: Back from IL
McCann (back) was reinstated from the 10-day IL and will serve as the 29th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
McCann will be back behind the plate for the second game of the twin bill after Patrick Mazeika catches for Marcus Stroman in the matinee. Year 1 of McCann's four-year, $40.6 million contract has been a disaster for the Mets, as he's slashing .240/.303/.357 with nine homers and 93 strikeouts through 337 plate appearances. He should still be the primary starter behind the plate over the remainder of the season assuming his lower back doesn't flare up again.

Alex Jackson C | MIN
Marlins' Alex Jackson: Not in Friday's lineup
Jackson isn't starting Friday against the Phillies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Jackson will be out of the lineup for a fourth consecutive game as Jorge Alfaro appears to have taken over once again as Miami's primary catcher. Alfaro will start behind the dish and bat sixth.

Elias Diaz C | KC
Rockies' Elias Diaz: Not in Friday's lineup
Diaz is out of the lineup Friday against Atlanta.
Diaz went 0-for-3 with a run and a strikeout Thursday and will take a seat for Friday's contest. Dom Nunez will work behind the plate for Colorado.

Tucker Barnhart C | TEX
Reds' Tucker Barnhart: Takes seat Friday
Barnhart isn't starting Friday's game against the Tigers, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Barnhart has hit .300 with three doubles, a home run and seven RBI in his last 10 games. Tyler Stephenson is catching and batting second Friday.

Jacob Stallings C | BAL
Pirates' Jacob Stallings: On bench Friday
Stallings is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Luis Campusano C | SD
Padres' Luis Campusano: Enjoying strong season in Triple-A
Campusano is slashing .295/.365/.541 with 15 home runs and 45 RBI through 81 games with Triple-A El Paso.
The backstop struggled during his time with the Padres earlier in the campaign, going 3-for-34 with a 28.9 percent strikeout rate. However, he's thrived in his first stint at the Triple-A level and just completed a superb August during which he slashed .373/.458/.765 with six homers and 13 RBI across 15 contests. Campusano was the California League co-MVP in 2019 and remains firmly embedded as one of the organization's top hitting prospects. He's unlikely to make much of an impact at the big-league level this season with Austin Nola and Victor Caratini holding down catcher duties while the Padres fight for a playoff spot, but Campusano could have a future as the team's top backstop.
