Fortes went 2-for-2 with two walks, a home run, three runs scored and four RBI in Tuesday's 12-2 rout of the Nationals.

The 25-year-old backstop had another big performance as he continues to make a case for a permanent spot in the majors. Fortes has started five of nine games since his promotion from Triple-A Jacksonville in late May, collecting multiple hits in three of them en route to a .467 (7-for-15) batting average with two homers and six RBI. Nothing in his minor-league track record suggests he'll keep this up for long, but Fortes could supply some short-term fantasy value while he's locked in.

Stephenson went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI during Tuesday's 14-8 win versus Arizona.

Stephenson contributed an RBI single during the second inning and provided some key insurances runs in the eighth with a two-run homer. The 25-year-old continues to produce as one of the top catchers in baseball this season with a .309/.366/.475 slash line, five home runs and 31 RBI in 41 games.

Nido is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at San Diego, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Nido started the past two games and will head to the bench Tuesday. Patrick Mazeika will work behind the plate and bat ninth.

Stallings will sit Tuesday against the Nationals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Stallings has just two hits and 10 strikeouts in his last seven games. Nick Fortes will start behind the plate Tuesday, catching for Edward Cabrera.

Manager Brian Snitker said d'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Oakland due to a sore forearm, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Atlanta didn't call up another catcher from the minors and Snitker said d'Arnaud will still be available off the bench Tuesday, so the 33-year-old seems at minimal risk of landing on the 10-day injured list. D'Arnaud's arm is apparently still a little tender after he was hit by a pitch Sunday, but a day out of the lineup may be all he needs for the soreness to subside.

Gomes (oblique) took batting practice on the field Tuesday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Gomes has been on the shelf since May 25 with a left oblique strain, but the fact that he's able to take some swings against live pitching suggests that the worst of the injury is still behind him. The 34-year-old will still likely need to go through full catching and baserunning work before potentially heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment.

D'Arnaud is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Athletics.

D'arnaud will take a seat after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Sunday's victory over the Rockies. William Contreras will get the start at catcher and bat seventh in Tuesday's contest.

Smith went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Sunday in a loss to the Mets.

Smith started a ninth-inning Dodgers rally with a solo homer to right field, and Los Angeles notched another run in the frame to send the game into extra innings. The long ball was the sixth of the season for the backstop and just his third hit over his past nine games. During that stretch, Smith is batting .103 with two runs and three RBI along with a 5:6 BB:K.

Nola is not in the lineup Monday against the Mets, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Neither Nola nor Jorge Alfaro seem to have a true starting role behind the plate in San Diego at the moment. Neither catcher has started back-to-back games since Nola did so May 24-25. Given that he's hitting just .214/.289/.267 on the year, it's unlikely Nola substantially increases his playing time any time soon.

Hall was outrighted to High-A Wisconsin on Sunday.

Hall was surprisingly called up from the High-A level on Thursday, but that may have just been a result of the Brewers wanting to bring up a catcher from the minors that was playing at an affiliate close in proximity to Milwaukee after Omar Narvaez (illness) was placed on the COVID-19-related injured list. Alex Jackson was able to arrive in Milwaukee from Triple-A Nashville on Friday, so Hall was ultimately moved off the 40-man roster without playing in a game for the big club. As expected, he wasn't claimed off waivers, so the 23-year-old will stay in the organization and head back to Wisconsin.
