Jose Herrera C | TEX
Diamondbacks' Jose Herrera: Heads back to minors
Herrera was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
Herrera owns a .457 OPS at the big-league level this season, so Arizona decided to send him down and replace him on the roster with Cooper Hummel. Herrera was working as the backup catcher behind Carson Kelly, and that role will now likely be filled by Daulton Varsho.

Endy Rodriguez C | PIT
Pirates' Endy Rodriguez: Moves up to Double-A
Rodriguez was promoted to Double-A Altoona on Tuesday, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Rodriguez earned a shot at the next level by going 21-for-43 (.488) with seven homers and 12 RBI over his last 12 games at the High-A level. The 22-year-old is one of two talented catching prospects in Pittsburgh's organization, and he should see the bulk of the starts until the other one -- Henry Davis (wrist) -- is ready to return.

James McCann C | ARI
Mets' James McCann: Sitting Tuesday
McCann is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Reds.
McCann will get a breather after he went 1-for-4 in Monday's victory. Tomas Nido will replace him behind the plate and bat ninth versus Cincinnati.

Diego Cartaya C | SF
Dodgers' Diego Cartaya: Healthy again after brief absence
Cartaya (undislcosed) has started in each of High-A Great Lakes' last three games, going 2-for-12 with three walks and two runs.
Cartaya was removed from Great Lakes' July 31 game due to an unspecified injury, but he missed only a few days before checking back into the lineup Friday. After serving as a designated hitter in his first two starts since the injury, Cartaya was back behind the plate for Sunday's 11-8 loss to Lake County, which implies he's back to full health.

Jose Godoy C | TEX
Pirates' Jose Godoy: Experiences cramping
Godoy was removed in the sixth inning of Sunday's 8-1 win over the Orioles due to heat illness and general body cramping, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. He went 0-for-2 with an RBI before departing.
Godoy was making his first start for Pittsburgh after being claimed off waivers from the Twins on Friday. The Pirates are listing him as day-to-day, but assuming he's feeling better after getting properly hydrated, Godoy should be ready to go for Monday's series opener in Arizona. He may continue to split time behind the plate with Jason Delay while both are healthy and available.

Taylor Davis C | PIT
Pirates' Taylor Davis: Remains in organization
Davis was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis after clearing waivers Sunday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
Davis won't immediately report to Indianapolis, as the Pirates plan to keep him on their taxi squad while the team heads to the West Coast for a seven-game road trip during the upcoming week. The 32-year-old didn't make any appearances for the Bucs during his brief stay on the active roster before he was designated for assignment Friday.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Should be back by next weekend
Atlanta expects d'Arnaud (lower leg) to be ready to rejoin the lineup for its four-game series with the Marlins that begins Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Though d'Arnaud isn't available for Sunday's series finale with the Mets and was sporting a walking boot to protect his lower right leg, Atlanta apparently doesn't believe his injury is significant enough to require a trip to the injured list. Even so, manager Brian Snitker isn't preparing for d'Arnaud to be available in a depth capacity for at least a few days, so Atlanta called up Chadwick Tromp from Triple-A Gwinnett to provide a depth option behind William Contreras at catcher. Tromp will serve as Contreras' backup Sunday and in Atlanta's upcoming two-game series in Boston that begins Tuesday.

James McCann C | ARI
Mets' James McCann: Not in Sunday's lineup
McCann is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
McCann went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run in Saturday's contest, and he'll take a seat for the series finale. Tomas Nido will start behind the plate to form a battery with Jacob deGrom on Sunday.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Sports walking boot
D'Arnaud (lower leg) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets and is wearing a protective walking boot, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The 33-year-old had X-rays on his lower right leg come back negative after exiting Game 2 of Saturday's twin bill, and he's now sporting a protective boot. Atlanta's roster moves Sunday didn't include d'Arnaud going on the injured list, so he'll remain on the active roster for now. However, catcher Chadwick Tromp was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett, which indicates the veteran will be unavailable for at least a couple days.

Chadwick Tromp C | ATL
Braves' Chadwick Tromp: Contract selected by Atlanta
Tromp had his contract selected by Atlanta on Sunday.
The 27-year-old was designated for assignment in mid-April but will rejoin the big-league roster with Travis d'Arnaud (lower leg) managing an injury. Tromp has yet to appear in a MLB game this year and has a .259/.301/.453 slash line with 12 home runs and 41 RBI in 68 games for Triple-A Gwinnett.
