  • Tom Murphy C | SF

Mariners' Tom Murphy: Smacks sixth homer

Murphy went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and two strikeouts in a 12-6 loss to Oakland on Tuesday.

Murphy was having a pedestrian day until his eighth-inning blast off Jake Diekman brought Seattle within four runs of Oakland's lead. The backstop has been a boom-or-bust hitter this season with a .170/.229/.390 slash line that includes four doubles and six home runs on only 17 hits.

  • Indians' Austin Hedges: Launches two-run homer

Hedges went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

The long ball marked the 28-year-old's first home run or extra-base hit since May 1. Hedges should continue to split catching reps with Rene Rivera but can't be expected to provide steady offense.

  • Royals' Salvador Perez: Homers twice in win

Perez went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI during Tuesday's win over the Pirates.

They were the team-leading 11th and 12th homers of the year for Perez, who took Wil Crowe deep in the fourth inning followed by Chasen Shreve in the seventh. The 31-year-old backstop has now hit safely in six straight, raising his season slash line to .280/.309/.507.

  • Eric Haase C | SF

Tigers' Eric Haase: Pops two home runs in win

Haase went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two walks and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.

Haase doubled his season homer total with solo blasts in the second and third innings. The reserve catcher has seen more playing time lately with Wilson Ramos (back) and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) both on the injured list, but despite Tuesday's outburst, Haase doesn't project to be a consistent fantasy asset moving forward.

  • Mitch Garver C | SEA

Twins' Mitch Garver: Likely to miss time

Manager Rocco Baldelli said Garver (groin) is being evaluated at a local hospital after leaving Tuesday's game and won't "be catching for awhile," Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The 30-year-old was initially diagnosed with a bruised left groin after being struck by a foul tip during the first inning Tuesday, but it appears he may be dealing with a more serious injury. Garver will be headed to the injured list if his manager's comments prove accurate.

Twins' Mitch Garver: Leaves with bruised groin

Garver exited Tuesday's game at Baltimore with a left groin contusion, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Garver went 0-for-1 before suffering the injury when struck by a foul tip during the bottom of the first inning, leading to his removal. Ben Rortvedt has taken over behind the plate for the Twins.

  • Jose Godoy C | TEX

Mariners' Jose Godoy: Gets breather Tuesday

Godoy isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Athletics.

Godoy went 1-for-3 with a strikeout in Monday's win over Oakland. Tom Murphy will start at catcher and bat eighth.

  • Max Stassi C | SF

Angels' Max Stassi: Reinstated from injured list

Stassi (concussion) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Stassi recently completed his four-game rehab assignment and will return from the injured list after missing just under a month. He'll likely reclaim his role as the Angels' primary catcher going forward.

  • Jake Rogers C | DET

Tigers' Jake Rogers: Out of Tuesday's lineup

Rogers isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Rogers will be out of the lineup for the third time in the last four games after he went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout Monday. Eric Haase will start behind the plate and bat sixth.

  • Danny Jansen C | TEX

Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Takes seat Tuesday

Jansen isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Jansen had started three of the last four games, going 1-for-4 with a double, four walks, an RBI and a run during that time. Reese McGuire will start behind the dish and bat ninth.
