Diaz is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Tampa Bay.

It's the first day off in May for Diaz, who is in a 3-for-26 rut at the dish. Victor Caratini will handle catching duties and bat fifth for the Astros.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that Rogers (oblique) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game in St. Louis, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Rogers has been sidelined since early April with a left oblique strain but is ready to go after playing in four rehab games with Triple-A Toledo. Dillon Dingler has played well since Rogers landed on the shelf, and the two catchers will likely split playing time behind the dish fairly evenly.

Fry (elbow) shifted his rehab assignment Monday from the rookie-level Arizona Complex League to Double-A Akron.

Fry went 0-for-8 with two walks and three strikeouts over his three contests in rookie ball, which marked his first game action since the Guardians' ALCS matchup with the Yankees last October. The 29-year-old resides on Cleveland's 60-day injured list while he recovers from the UCL revision surgery he underwent on his right elbow last November, which will prevent him from playing defense until 2026. He'll continue to serve as a designated hitter during his rehab assignment and could be a potential platoon mate for Kyle Manzardo with the big club once he's activated him from the IL.

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.

Langeliers had gone 0-for-9 with two walks and two strikeouts over the previous three games. He ended that slump with a first-inning RBI single to give the Athletics a short-lived 2-1 lead. He's also logged two steals over his last six games, giving him three thefts on the year, one shy of his career high from 2024. The catcher is hitting .250 with a .758 OPS, eight home runs, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored across 42 games.

Vazquez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Due in large part to injuries decimating the Twins' depth in recent days, Vazquez had started at catcher in each of the last three games, while top backstop Ryan Jeffers served as the team's designated hitter in all of those contests. However, with Harrison Bader returning from a groin injury Saturday and with Willi Castro (knee) back in the lineup Monday after a two-game absence, Vazquez will retreat to the bench. Vazquez's playing time could be more sporadic moving forward while Jeffers likely sees most of his starts behind the dish and the Twins instead opting to rotate a number of players at the DH spot.

Quero is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

He'll receive a breather after he started in each of the White Sox's last three games, with both of the last two coming behind the dish. Matt Thaiss will handle catching duties for Chicago in the series opener.

Rutschman is not in the Orioles' starting lineup against the Brewers on Monday.

Maverick Handley will draw the start at catcher and bat ninth while Rutschman rests. Rutschman has struggled at the plate since the beginning of May, slashing .185/.241/.296 with two RBI over a 15-game stretch.

The Royals designated Maile for assignment Monday.

Maile came up at the beginning of May when Salvador Perez was unable to catch due to a hip issue and stuck around a bit as a third catcher even after Perez was cleared to don the catcher's gear. However, the Royals now have a better use for the roster spot. There's a good chance Maile clears waivers.

Diaz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday against the Rangers.

Diaz popped his fifth home run of the season, three of which have come in May. He's provided well-rounded production across 16 games in the month, as he's hitting .292 with 10 RBI and seven runs scored. All of Diaz's overall numbers are lagging relative to expectations, but he has gotten on track at the plate after a poor start to the campaign.

D'Arnaud went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an RBI single during Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers.

D'Arnaud lifted a go-ahead homer in the eighth inning off Anthony Banda, helping the Halos pull off the series sweep of their Los Angeles counterparts. The performance snapped a four-game hitting drought for d'Arnaud, who went 0-for-15 with seven strikeouts during that stretch. D'Arnaud is slashing .200/.250/.317 in 64 plate appearances this season while operating as Logan O'Hoppe's backup.
