The White Sox selected Quero's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Quero earned the promotion after slashing .333/.444/.412 with one home run over his first 63 plate appearances at Charlotte this season. The 22-year-old will presumably take over as Chicago's primary backstop and could be worthy of a pickup in fantasy leagues that start two catchers. Quero will start behind the dish and bat seventh Thursday against the Athletics in his major-league debut.

Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Diaz is hitting just .130 across his first 57 plate appearances this season, and he had only two hits across his first 33 at-bats. He's picked things up slightly of late, collecting five hits across his last 21 at-bats. While his surface stats are concerning, Diaz's bat skills are fine, highlighted by a 12.2 percent barrel rate.

Raleigh went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Raleigh saw his streak of home runs end at three games Tuesday, but he didn't lose a beat in Wednesday's win. He took the first pitch he saw from Nick Martinez deep to center field for a 412-foot homer in the fifth inning, and Raleigh logged the Mariners' fifth and final run in the seventh frame with another solo shot off Taylor Rogers. Raleigh is up to seven home runs on the year, which is tied with Aaron Judge for second-most in the majors behind Tyler Soderstrom (eight).

O'Hoppe (illness) is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Rangers on Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe will be out of the lineup for a second straight game while battling an illness, but he could be available as a pinch hitter during Wednesday's contest. Travis d'Arnaud will work behind home plate and bat fifth against Rangers southpaw Patrick Corbin.

Thaiss is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Thaiss will receive a breather after he started behind the plate in Chicago's last two games while going 2-for-7 with an RBI. Omar Narvaez will step in as the White Sox's starting catcher Wednesday.

Dingler is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Brewers, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Dingler caught the first two games of the series, so he'll get a breather in Wednesday's matinee. Tomas Nido will be behind the plate and bat seventh.

Wong (finger) has begun baseball activities including some catching drills, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Wong is out indefinitely with a fracture of his left pinky finger. Boston manager Alex Cora was optimistic about Wong doing the catching drills and noted that Wong is progressing.

Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the White Sox.

Langeliers tucked a 419-foot jack inside the left-field foul pole to extend the Athletics' lead to 5-3 in the third inning, and he later roped a double into left field to plate another run in the ninth. Although teammate Tyler Soderstrom's meteoric rise has commanded more attention, Langeliers is off to a strong start of his own. Through 64 plate appearances, the power-hitting backstop is slashing .250/.344/.518 with four long balls, three doubles, 10 RBI and eight walks.

O'Hoppe isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers due to an illness, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

O'Hoppe dealt with a stomach bug during the Angels' day off Monday. He's reportedly feeling better now, but the team will keep him on the bench Tuesday just to be sure. Travis d'Arnaud will pick up a start behind the plate as a result and bat fifth.
